This is one of my favourite banh mi places downtown.
It's off to the side and run by the sweetest lady that truly deserves the best. A very authentic lunch with your Vietnamese auntie experience.
The banh mi can be light on fillings and may leave some wanting for more. It is delicious nonetheless, and for a better price and value than other nearby banh mi shops.
The bread is quite a bit better than that of other banh mi stores.

super authentic bánh mì! There are undoubtedly nicer diners if you're looking for Vietnamese cuisine, but for me I'm looking for dirt cheap fresh authentic Vietnamese subs. my parents used to buy in bulk from a some shotty decrepit hole-in-the-wall, but the subs were delicious and fed us all week. this sub strikes those memories. I've been looking for a similarly authentic, no-frills bánh mì shop to feed me this recession, and I think this is it. great shopkeeper...
