Great experience. Service was mostly amazing, one server did forget to put in my order before they finished their shift. So after waiting a while I asked about the dishes. They confirmed that it was not put in, but they quickly fixed the problem and offered a complimentary dish

This is a nice place to get some fancy drinks. We didn’t get any food. The place is pretty but small, so I would suggest coming in advance to snag a table if you are coming with friends. They only had one server when we went so it unfortunately took forever to get anyone to come get our drinks and to check out, but I can’t really blame them since the place was packed.

Visited in October 2025 for cocktails and tapas. Main room was really busy but we were happy to be in the side room so we coudl converse easily; we just had to go in search of some bar stools so we could sit. Staff were very pleasant and drinks were good. Tried several different tapas/small plates. Everything was delicious and we ordered seconds of a couple of them. Fairly expensive but a good night out.

A bunch of my service industry friends recommended this place to me and it didn’t disappoint. I also have to frequently suggest places at my work and all of my clients who’ve visited have also enjoyed. Fabulous atmosphere, dimmed lighting, still warm and lively, was sat at a tiered table top that has a convenient space to place bags or hang umbrellas (went on a rainy night last Thursday of October) cozy covered patio. Jodie (Jody? I’ll feel so bad if that’s not her name) and an individual who’s name I didn’t get (bleached short hair and cool hand tattoos) were fantastic and I’ve been told by service industry friends that Becks and Mira (again unsure of spelling) take very good care of their guests. Whole team seems to enjoy what they do and that comes across in their service. They’re knowledgeable and serious about what they do but not pretentious, they’re enthusiastic and fun, and as a guest that makes me wanna have fun. Cocktails were all delicious and nuanced but I have an easily pleased palate, I do wanna try the wine list. The bites were great too I wanna come back with an emptier stomach to eat more. Mini party platter was great for sharing. Chicken liver toast was amazing, I could’ve eaten three. I love chicken liver pate but a whole jar is a lot so I appreciate the option just to order the single servings. Can’t wait to be back and send more of my clients to enjoy this fine establishment. Would recommend for anyone looking for a cool date night or if you have folks visiting that you want to experience something elevated and cool in Toronto’s bar scene.

This was our fifth time at Bar Raval, and it never disappoints! The tapas are amazing, the cocktails are spot-on, and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. The Gaudí-inspired space and lively vibe make you feel like you’ve been whisked away to Barcelona. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the city!

Mind blowing food, expertly crafted drinks, fair portions, and friendly service... the perfect combination for a nice chilling afternoon. Pro tip... ask for bread to enjoy every last drop of flavor.

Visited on a Tuesday night and the place was surprisingly packed. The atmosphere was great — loved the vibe and overall aesthetic of the bar.
However, the service didn’t quite match the setting. When we arrived, we stood around for a bit before anyone acknowledged us, and throughout the night it was difficult to get the staff’s attention. It felt like they might have been understaffed because the team didn’t seem very attentive.
The cocktails were decent but nothing memorable. The food, on the other hand, was below average for the price, very small portions and definitely on the expensive side for what you get.
Overall, a bit of a mixed experience. Amazing ambiance and an enjoyable place to hang out, but service and food quality need improvement. I’d call it a high 3, low 4 — rounding up because the vibe really was that good.

Had the tripe with green peppers. Was very good!
We spend our last day in Toronto with a lunch at Bar Raval. Somebody of the staff of restaurant 20 Victoria suggested this location and we were not disappointed. Good cocktails and great tapas.
