We had lunch yesterday with a friend, it was great, the fried spring rolls are the best in Toronto to me. Great service! Highly recommended.
This is a westernized pho restaurant. If you want a variety of authentic viet dishes to dine with a group, I'd recommend Pho Anh Vu instead. The menu is very simple and resto here is small but I like to dine here when im in the area alone, when I am craving pho, or want a quick small bite. I like the pho here because of the type of noodles/bowl they use, the thinly sliced onions, and the use of cilantro. I also like the coconut shrimp fresh rolls. The first time I ate the pho here I enjoyed it but today when I went, the broth was SOO bland I was shocked!! So I asked for reg. Fish sauce to add to it. Not sure what happened... I recommended this place to a friend after my first visit and if this 2nd bowl is what my friend actually got, I'd be so embarassed. Also it reminds you of eating on the streets in Vietnam bc of the decor but also in the fact that theres no AC. Even vietnam restos have an AC! ITS SO HOT IN HERE. Can you add more fans in the summer please or add AC. When I come here in the summer I sit directly in front of the one fan thats inside here.
Im gonna give it another shot but if the pho is bland again, I won't return.
Grilled pork spring rolls were very tasty as was the pork Banh mi. We wanted to order the vermicelli noodle dish but were advised they were out. It was 12:45 on a Sunday. The pho broth had no flavour and the rare beef was tough to bite through.
Best bahn mi in the city. Fresh rolls are incredible! Don’t forget to try the banana flan dessert!
Terribly overpriced, maybe one of the worst phos I’ve had. This is a disgrace to traditional Vietnamese food.
Everyone was hyping this place up so I went in with pretty high expectations. Got a spot for dinner and ordered a Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with Roasted Pork.
Pork was incredibly tough and I had to spit out the skin a few times because it was so hard. Their pineapple dessert was good though.
Best fresh rolls and banh mi I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu
What a fantastic restaurant! We were travelling from Ottawa and found this place while scoping the ends of instagram. The fish sauce wings were to die for along with the chili shrimp bahn mi. The service was amazing and we look forward to coming again soon!
Interior is cool and service was great! Food not so cool and great! My dear girlfriend who's family is from Vietnam has been raging about it for the past day and a half. I stand here in solidarity.

I came into Ca Phe Rang on a cold winter day, intrigued by the interior and Michelin Guide bib, but I left thoroughly disappointed. My partner and I ordered the Sliced Rare Beef Pho and Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi.
Chicken Banh Mi: this was a decent sandwich but not a good banh mi. The chicken was flavourful but the ratio of meat to the rest of the ingredients was a bit too much. Also, $20 for this seems very unreasonable to me.
Pho: below average pho. The beef balls had a weirdly smooth, soft texture and lacked the spring and bounciness they usually have. I also wasn’t a fan of the noodles they used. They were too thick and chewy. The broth was just okay, but overall lacked depth of flavour. Not to mention the broth was barely warm. This pho was ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
I have been reading reviews from the past 2 years with the same criticism for the pho. I’m even more disappointed now that they haven’t done anything with the feedback.
Service was great though!
If you’re looking for good, authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place.

Probably one of the worst vermicelli I’ve ever had. The noodles they use are thick rice noodles (not actual vermicelli) that are usually used in soup noodles and the peanut topping is like candied and hard to chew?? Also the veg was so thick it was hard to eat together with everything..
Giving 1 star cause this was expensive and just an overall bad meal.

Nice vibe and good food. Brisket pho was really good! Really enjoyed the brisket. Pho was tooooo much. The mushroom roll was fresh. The dipping with peanuts mix was great.
We decided to try Vietnamese food so Ca Phe Rangs was close to our condo.
We ordered by prawn rolls, brisket Pho and soy braised beef banh. The rolls were fresh and came with delicious peanut sauce. The banh was excellent. The meat was flavorful and soft. It was heaped with fresh, crunchy cilantro (dhaniya). The pho however, was very average. The broth did not have the intense flavor that I have had in other Vietnamese restaurants. The beef was soft and fatty which I liked.
Overall, it was a good meal. The waitress was attentive and also checked up on us.
Meal cost us $ 68.

I was excited to try the pho here since it has a decent rating! Service was great and friendly but the pho was disappointing. The broth lacked flavour and it was VERY EXPENSIVE. Also got the lemon grass chicken bun - it was not as good. I've had better for a much cheaper price. They even charge $20+ for a banh mi. Yikes. Definitely expensive to dine here.
