Blooming Garden Dessert House is a newly opened, inviting dessert cafe connected to Blooming Garden Chinese Cuisine Restaurant. The cafe offers a variety of cakes, pastries, and buns, presented nicely in display cases. It accepts cash and debit cards, but not credit cards. Notable menu items include Korean chicken with a bun, which is highly recommended, and cakes that are generously topped with fruit, not too sugary, and reasonably priced. Buying six buns grants tax-free purchase. Although there might not be washroom facilities inside the cafe, they are available in the mall where the cafe is located. The cafe is situated in Woodside Square Mall with ample parking, now accessible from inside the mall not the Blooming Garden Cuisine restaurant side. The cakes are decorated so beautifully, almost too pretty to eat. The chestnut cake was moist, light, and had a fluffy texture. Each bite felt just right, not too sweet or heavy, just deliciously balanced. A mixed fruit cake was really nice and light, with lots of fresh fruit on top and in between the layers and white chocolate flakes on the sides. However, some cakes had more icing than fruit.
