Nice atmosphere, but the food is overpriced, the beer/drink menu is limited, and the snobbish, amateur staff ruin the experience. Not worth it.

Had reservations, e-mail confirmed. Got to the restaurant and they had given away the reservation to someone else. No huge deal, it wasn't very busy. My date and I still got a table. Wasn't brought over to the table, was shown where we can sit. After having the menus it took another 10min to get a drink order in. At least 4 people were on staff, they were all huddled behind the bar. Wasn't until we looked over at the group meeting that they finally took notice that we needed attention. At this point there were only a few tables in the place. Drinks were actually good but the service was not. Ordered 6 (two separate orders) of oysters and the shrimp dish. They brought them separately. Separately! Who does that? We were never asked if we wanted the oysters first. I don't like oysters. Had to wait until they took that dish away. Didn't end up ordering any main dishes. Went to the Ambassador down the street and had a way better meal, service and entertainment than Burdock Brewery

Food was good, everything was fresh and hot. Wedge salad and onion rings were great, bean dip was okay. Drinks were all great, beers were exceptional.

Went to see a show in the performance room, whose shape is long and narrow like a former Victorian style home. The acoustics were outstanding. The lighting and the stage were amazing. Of course the artists were fantastic. However the seating was a bit of, only a few stops in the side and a few block fold up chairs. People decided to sit on the floor. I think they could do with 20 or so folding chairs. The pub portion was really hopping with a younger crowd, 20s to 40s. This was also looking and narrow like a second home converted to a restaurant. There's a cool patio on the side street as well. It's a place that would impress on a first or second date.

First time at this place. A quick top 5 add! The staff treated us like family and made our experience a 12/10. We came to see the live music my birds friend put on and left with a great new place to enjoy a crispy deluxe beer, a cheese platter and a few great songs from a couple local legends!

This review pertains exclusively to Burdock's bottle shop located at Bloor Street West , very close to the restaurant. Have never been to the restaurant itself although planning to.
Burdock tries to cater to different tastes. I tried lots of their stuff and some beers are truly excellent. 3.8/5 rating on untappd (which is fairly high) is well deserved.
The quality of service at their bottle shop is another story. I can't say I feel welcome over there. On few occasions, I had to wait for a while to be served when the store was literally empty. Burdock employees kept passing by without offering their help.
Yesterday, I came by only to find out that the store is closed. There is a small note regarding staff appreciation event happening which prompted the store closure. I wish they had put a similar note on their website, in which case I would have postponed my visit.
Regardless, I will keep visiting them unless the customer service gets even worse to the point of intolerance. Their beer worths long trips and wait time.
Will update the review once I visit the restaurant.

Awesome food and craft beer, delicious weekend brunch and a sweet venue for live music!

Wonderful experience eating at Burdock before a show. Very impressed by their experimental brews, delicious and fun to try some new types of beer. Food was delicious (we enjoyed the tomato salad, mushroom caesar, cheeseburger, homemade cavatelli, and the side fries). Everything was flavourful and the service was good. Will be back.

Really cozy and affordable bar

Our server was outstanding - in fact, all service staff were welcoming and friendly.
Food was excellent - I had the vegan mushroom Caesar and my husband had the lamb bacon toast. Both were delicious. I enjoyed the Helles lager and my husband sampled a variety of sours which he enjoyed.

Great service and my helles beer was really good, and excellent fries to go with it.

Sweet little hipster spot. Good sours. Good Helles on Lukr. Unique snack foods. Onion rings are great.

Fantastic find! Food and service were amazing. Would absolutely recommend.

Fries were great, well seasoned and crispy! The pickled egg was good too, classic balsamic edge and a medium-soft hard-boil. The beers are crispy and pleasant, tending towards sour over other profiles.
