Chelowich offers a delightful culinary experience, with its savory delights and relaxed dining atmosphere. The star of the menu is the chicken kebab, with its crispy exterior and succulent juiciness, and the koobideh and chenje, which are wonderfully cooked but tender. The blend of ground beef and lamb is also a palate-pleasing sensation. While the service may lag a bit, the value of $50 for three kebabs, rice, and two drinks strikes a reasonable balance. Beyond the traditional pitas and dishes, Chelowich serves top-notch Persian comfort food, including the Baghali stew with rich beans and creamy sauce, and the Ghorme Sabzi, a kidney bean stew with amazing flavor. The wings are one of the best in Toronto, and the Persian rice is perfectly prepared. The decoration is humble and simple, but the host is friendly and attentive. With a few tweaks in service efficiency, Chelowich has the potential to become a top contender in the culinary scene.
