It was a lovely place to have dinner I tried their curry goat and it was amazing. I definitely will be bringing my family over to visit. Thank you!!!! My bill was around 50$ because I ordered at least 3 items which is very decent.

Great spot for authentic Jamaican cuisine. We started with the oxtail soup and saltfish fritters. We ordered the curry goat and oxtail strew for our mains. Super delicious, a lots of meat! The bread pudding and coffee creme brulee. The mocktail is a must try! The bartender is great, he made a custom pina colada. Staff are awesome, amazing service. Ices cappuccino with coconut milk was so so yummy. Super cute spot with beautiful decor, especially the Christmas/Holiday pop-up bar upstairs.

Absolutely appalling to charge a 20% automatic gratuity for a table of six. Most restaurants that use auto-gratuity charge 15â18%, and only for groups of eight or more. This policy is unreasonable and leaves a really bad impression.

This was my first time attending their Christmas pop-up, and the service was terrible. Our server had an attitude from the start, made us feel rushed, and stuck us in a corner at the very back of the restaurant despite plenty of open tables. It felt dismissive and unprofessional from beginning to end.
What makes this even more disappointing is that Iâve been here before and even ordered takeout from this restaurant countless times and always enjoyed it. Iâve had great experiences in the past, which is why this visit was such a letdown. The drop in service was noticeable, and I truly hope they address it moving forward.

very uNique take on chicken and waffles but i wouldnât say itâs the best iâve ever had. the sauce/syrup and toppings and chunks of pineapple gave it a very strong sweet, sourish, and tart taste, but i think i wouldâve wanted a bit more of a stronger savoury flavour from the chicken to balance it out. the chicken was crispy, but i think that the dish wouldâve been much better if it was juicier. the waffle had a bit of a cinnamon scent which was also quite interesting.
the plantains were also good, but again, nothing that really blew me away. mostly they were pretty warm and mushy, but some of them had a nice slight oily crisp on the outside. i liked the sprinkle of salt on top and how that really elevated the sweetness of the plantain, so i wish there was just a bit more of it maybe.
i also tried the rum & raisin bread pudding, which was a really delicious treat; you canât really go wrong with bread pudding in my opinion. the vanilla ice cream that came with it was sweet and creamy, and the coldness went well with the warm chunks of bread pudding. chubbyâs bread pudding was different from others iâve tried, in the sense that it wasnt really like dense or anything, but kind of straight up like baked bread texture. it was a bit crispy, and it had a fragrant doughiness. the flavour of the small embedded tart raisins and rum were both very very subtle, honestly not very distinct at all, but i still enjoyed it!

I walked in for a quick lunch and got jerk pork with greens on the side. The jerk seasoning is delicious and jerk pork was cooked to perfection. Itâs a very nice cozy restaurant with island vibes all over the place, I would definitely go back to try other items.

Stopped by Chubbyâs for a quick bite and the food definitely delivered. I had the jerk chicken, which was flavourful, and I highly recommend the oxtail, it was tender, rich, and easily the highlight.
The ambience is super cute and has that cozy, welcoming feel. The service was extremely slow, which was the only downside, but the food itself made up for it. I also do think itâs a little overpriced.
Iâd be open to coming back to try more dishes next time!

Me n and a few of my girls went for dinner and the food was alright . Dinner servings with pretty much appetizers. We felt so rush n pressured to hurry and leave. We barely finished our desert n the waiter came over 2x to ask if we're done n ready to wrap it up for the bill. The bill came n we requested separate bills. On each of our bills they charged half of what my other girls ordered. Like bottle of water the dessert that I ordered which I felt wast fair at all. We did not agree to that. Its not the cost but the principle he should of asked if we wanted that. Worst experience ever never felt so rushed

Went to Chubbyâs today for brunch. The jerk wings were terrible. They were oily and far from jerked. They were sweet and hardly any spice. When I told the waiter, she said the regular chefs were not there. One only works at busy times and the other one had a back issue. She knew the food was less than but did not offer a discount. I paid my bill, gave a tip but I will not be returning. The ladies at the table beside were also disappointed with their meals. The saltfish fritters were good. Please train the fill in chefs to ensure consistency and good food. They knowingly served food that was less than par. So disappointing!
