Chubbys was recommended to us for our anniversary trip and it did not disappoint! The vibes, service and food was excellent.I got the curry goat, with a side of plantain and my husband got the oxtail with a side of dumplings and okra.Everything was delicious and we will be back.We were given a one hour wait time but were seated before that!
Service and ambience was really good. I ordered the curry shrimp and it was delicious. I don't recommend the okra dish. I sampled my friend's and I had to spit it out. My friends also ordered the oxtail and it seemed like after bones and fat were set aside they didn't contain much meat. Maybe better to go with the jerk chicken dish. The cocktails were expensive and tiny. Very poor value there. I was also irritated that on the bill tax was calculated after the 20% gratuity was added. So I'm being taxed on both the food AND the tip, which is absolutely ridiculous. Criticism aside, the servers were friendly and warm, music was good, and overall atmosphere fun. Just portions and prices were below average value.

I literally ordered 5 minutes before closing on Uber eats (really sorry to the employees I hate to be that person haha) but oh my gosh the food was soo perfect and usually I’m always scared to order from a restaurant that’s about to close cuz they don’t really cater to you most of the time from my previous experiences but the way the food came delivered to my door so perfectly.The presentation, the care, the flavours, I can just tell that you guys really care for your customers and I couldn’t not be quiet about it. This place is too good and too amazing. Thank you so much seriously. The food was amazing 10/10

Visited Chubby's Jamaican Kitchen for the first time and I was impressed. The ambience and music were on point and the food was tasty. I found the salt fish fritters and fried okra to be just okay however the curry goat, oxtail and jerk chicken were quite delicious. I would recommend this restaurant if you are seeking the taste and feel of Jamaica.

I’ve given the food here a try a few times.. the Jamaican breakfast from the brunch menu is prob the truest/best tasting. I am a recurrent patron ONLY for the excellent cocktails and atmosphere
Tasty food, awesome atmosphere, smallish portions.Ordered bunch of dishes to share.Appetizers. Ackee & saltfish bites were quite delicious, but the fritters didn’t really taste like anything other than plain fried dough.Mains. Jerk chicken was very good, perfect level of spicy. Oxtail was super tender, melt in your mouth, rice and peas were also great. Curry goat was good, but not particularly special. Pan seared snapper fillet was the HIGHLIGHT of the night, big flaky pieces of flesh, sauce was so nice and creamy, vegetables and other toppings paired great.Overall fun and tasty experience. Although I understand why they include 20% gratuity for larger groups, I just personally don’t think a party of 6 was big enough to demand a surcharge.

A group of four of us came here for dinner a few weeks ago and it was fantastic!A very cool vibe inside, food was really good (highly recommend the wings and the chicken curry) and service was great.It was a Friday night and it got really busy quickly so make reservations in advance if you plan to try!
