Had such a great experience at Clandestina Mexican Grill & Bar! The food and atmosphere were amazing, but the highlight for me was definitely the tequila flan — creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right hint of tequila. Easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. Definitely coming back! 🌮💕

Clandestina Mexican Grill & Bar is a small Mexican restaurant in the Junction neighbourhood. The tacos here are pretty solid and is a good spot to check out if you're in the area. My favourite here are the Beef Birria Tacos, though the Baja Fish and Portabello Tacos are also good.

The restaurant also has Taco Tuesday and Margarita Wednesday specials ($5 off the menu price).

Your can usually walk in without reservations though it can sometimes get busy on Friday or Saturday evenings. They offer patio seating in the summer and have a small seating area in the back which is great for small gatherings.

Amazing food, BUT poor service from ONE of the servers. They hid my comment on Instagram — luckily, I work in hospitality, and word of mouth travels faster than social media, sorry, But I think that if couples plan to work together, they should be more professional and not show jealousy towards their partner while they're working. My friends and I loved going, but we won't anymore; it's too awkward.

On Saturday, September 6th, in the early afternoon, my boyfriend and I went for a walk and found d this wonderful place. Again:) Our server, Enrique, was attentive, friendly and personable. The margaritas were absolutely top notch! The house made chips with bean dip and chorizo were so good, we ordered the chips with guacamole and 3 sauces. 3 types of flavors. Spicy, smokey and just really flavorful! I whole heartedly recommend this place! Enrique, we shall return!!
