The Holiday High Tea was a treat for 5 Ladies enjoying an annual Christmas lunch. Highly recommend it for the sheer beauty of the decor as well as the beautifully created food.
Lovely festive setting and great service. Wonderful place to get together and enjoy a cocktail.
Best meeting place in all of Toronto. It's a bit pricey but that is to be expected for the ambiance and perfect location.
Food for the festive high tea was amazing. The tea selections were a perfect variety. Service was best I've had. I celebrated my anniversary because we got married at this hotel and we will always have this as our favourite destination for food, celebrations and special moments.
Having gone to high tea at the Fairmont in Calgary and Victoria, I was looking forward to a special afternoon for a friend's birthday/Christmas tea but was quite let down. Our server forgot our tea so we had to wait 30 minutes for tea and scones, only to be brought the wrong tea. Our main server was absent the time we were there but the person bringing scones was aware we had not received our tea, but did not connect with anyone about it despite doing multiple loops past our tables looking for the tea. It is important to note the restaurant is in the middle of the lobby so our 11:00 reservation coincided with families and groups checking out. Be prepared for lots of screaming children and luggage rolling by. We might have had a bad spot by the fence, as it looked like the majority of the seating was farther from the lobby. The food was delicious, but the 2 scones are half-sized Tim-Bits and the tea selection was minimal, approx. 12 teas. I was looking forward to browsing the extensive tea menu and having the Rose Congou (a fairmont staple), but sadly this was not an option. Overall, I feel there are most likely better Christmas teas in Toronto that are worth the price. Most unfortunately, I left a review privately with CLOCKWORK and they never responded to my feedback. It's frustrating because they ask you to leave a credit card to reserve a table, which I was happy to do to demonstrate my commitment to the reservation, I just wish they held up their end of the deal.
The extra trees to limit the visual distractions for the festive tree was a tremendous help. The noise is still extreme though. The food isn't to everyone's taste. That said, we still come back yearly or the overall feel
Very kind and informative staff, was here November 28th for Afternoon Tea. I can't recall names but service by staff was excellent.
It has forever been a challenge to get a really good cup of coffee in most hotels. Until recently the quality of the coffee, even in very high end hotels seem to lag far behind the quality of the cuisine. This is unfortunate because who doesn't want to enjoy a good coffee in a beautiful setting like that of the clock lobby at the Royal York.
My visit to the Royal York coincided with their Christmas decor and the clock bar was absolutely beautiful. I visited on a weekday morning and therefore it wasn't too busy. The servers had no problem with me sitting in the bar and just having a coffee. The service was attentive and very friendly.
I ordered my usual Cortado and it was well executed. I think it is unfair to expect the quality of coffee that perhaps is in a very specialty café but this was certainly a good Cortado and priced very competitively with what you would get in any specialty coffee café.
The surroundings here were beautiful and the atmosphere was quiet and sophisticated. It was an amazing place for coffee and a chat, especially at this holiday season. I would encourage anyone near the Royal York this holiday season to enjoy this beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere and a good cup of coffee.

Truly a magnificently luxurious experience at Clockwork. At the recommendation of a good friend I decided to try the afternoon tea and it was a marvelous experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff and gave recommendations on the best teas to try. And I loved the pianist who was playing holiday music. That added a joyful touch to the experience.
I enjoyed every minute of it as the entire team there was wonderful, kind, attentive, and ensured I had a delightful experience. Special thanks to Liah, Evrim, and the rest of the team for being so fabulous and amazing. Keep up the great work and thank you for everything!

We had a lovely experience, the decorations were stunning. Too fish heavy on the sandwiches. The rest of the food was delicious. Service was a little slow to start.
Amazing experience! We booked just before the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and even got a suprise visit from Santa himself! We have rebooked for the Jo Malone Tea for two this coming Friday and are extremely excited!
“Meet me at the clock” — a line so effortlessly romantic it could make even Austen blush. Nestled inside the Fairmont Royal York, Clockwork feels like stepping into a love story between old-world charm and modern elegance; where time slows down, tea flows, and everything feels just a little more glamorous.
We started with house-made scones, golden and crumbly, paired with Chantilly cream and berry compote; the kind that would make London jealous. The cranberry scones? My personal undoing: buttery, tart, and pure bliss.
The savouries stole the show. Coronation Chicken was delicate and royal-approved, while the Mushroom & Truffle Tart was pure poetry; earthy, velvety, and dangerously addictive. The Beet-Cured Salmon Gravlax and Slow-Roasted Beef Croissant were perfect contrasts of light and hearty. But my heart? It belonged to the Fogo Island Shrimp Toast: crisp, caviar-topped, and worthy of pearls and Gatsby quotes.
Dessert was the grand finale: Maple Pumpkin Tart, Choux à la Crème, Elderberry Panna Cotta, Manjari Cupcake, and Spiced Pear Shortbread: sweet, airy, and poetic. Add a cup of Oolong Sweet Watermelon or Jasmine Gold Dragon, and you’ve got romance in teacup form.
Because Clockwork isn’t just afternoon tea: it’s indulgence, elegance, and a dash of mischief. And if time stopped here… would anyone really mind? 💕🕰️

Attending the afternoon tea hosted by Anna Olson was such a special experience for all of us. The food was delicious and service was incredible. Getting to meet Anna Olson was such a special treat. She was incredibly kind, taking time to speak with us and take photos. Would 100% attend another event like this at the Fairmont.
