Me & my girlfriend had our anniversary dinner here. We both had steak frites which was notably delicious. The service was amazing and our waiter was enough to treat us with a complimentary crème brûlée but unfortunately we didn’t get his name to mention. The only thing which some might find unpleasant is the limited outside seating area but I love cozy places with great food. Thank you for making our night more memorable!

The tartare was excellent, very easy to enjoy.
The Cote de Boeuf was unreal. Really big. Need at least like 3-4 people.
Due to the size medium might have been better instead of medium rare, fat wasn't rendered too long so it was chewy.
Veggies and duck fat potatoes were great.

Cote de Boeuf has a legion of loyal fans for good reason: the food is absolutely delicious. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. We tried to enjoy a birthday lunch there earlier this week, sitting outside as we had a service animal in tow. We were offered a table in the sun on a very hot day, despite another table in the shade being available. When asked if it was possible to sit there, the waitress made a big fuss, citing that the table was for four and we were two (despite the table being empty). She would rather not have us for customers and leave the table open - one of us is a senior citizen who cannot sit in the sun. The server eventually did offer us the table, but not after literally rolling her eyes at us. Her rudeness and dismissal had already coloured our experience, and we decided to leave. While one can understand limited seating, being treated shabbily has no excuse.
This is the second time that I, as a person of colour, have experienced this kind of treatment at C de B. I'd like to say it was a coincidence, but the care and politeness given to my (white) dining companion was not afforded to me during my previous visit, until it became clear that I was picking up the tab. The prices are not being worth treated this way, as if the staff are doing you a favour by allowing you into their domain, with no consideration for seniors. No sense in tasty food if the experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Had a nice evening out on the patio. Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. Really enjoyed the tartare and the prime ribeye were my favourites. Accoutrements for the ribeye were really tasty

Don't be fooled by the small, cozy, casual setting, the food here is top notch more like fine dining. Has to be one of the best steaks I have had in the city. Here you get high quality AAA steaks for a bargain compared to other places.
The vegetables and potatoes complimented the steak very well. Steak was cooked to perfection.
The place is very laid back, service was awesome. I will definitely be back.
Excellent little independent restaurant that preserves its uniqueness with quality and service. Run like a traditional restaurant which is a welcoming change. Food is absolutely delicious, especially the beuf tartare and its steaks.
