The atmosphere was elegant and clean. The menu was simple but rich and exclusive, and we tried every option, making it nearly perfect. The food service was excellent. We were delighted that they asked us in what order we wanted our food served. I also appreciated that the side dish served with the meat was also seasoned. They have a hearty and carefully prepared cocktail menu. The gentlemen serving were very polite and treated us very well. We also loved the dessert and tea options

They know how to cook duck
Well seasoned and juicy
Parmesan was bit over powering in the beef tartare, like how they used the potatoes
Mike was awesome
All the staff provided excellent service and will definitely come back again

Very dated “fine dining” experience. Food and service is quite mediocre.

Dmirty was the most welcoming welcoming owner I’ve ever met. I had a tomahawk steak and black caviar. It was an orgasmic experience. Highly recommend.

Totally bizarre experience. The restaurant has potential with a lovely dining room but the devil is in the details. We were literally the only ones there on a Thursday at noon. The tables are adorned with table cloths and flower vases holding a single rose- very 1985. The service is trying to be high end but is laughable. The server bought a bottle of wine to taste that had a cork in the top looking a week old she struggled to remove. They did agree to open a fresh bottle - however grossly overpriced wine and very mediocre food. We had the Patagonian Tooth fish Crudo - fishy. And please just call it Chilean Sea Bass. We bake for the Parmesan wheel pasta they keep advertising online and don’t serve it!! We both opted for ravioli with Gorgonzola sauce. The ravioli is fagotelli - a chef should know the difference of pastas. The dishes came out barely warm - keep in mind we were the ONLY guests!!! I had to get up and go find the server, and we were on limited time, to request hot food. They remade the dishes with one “chef” coming out from the kitchen to apologize and blame a “new chef” - pretty sure a “chef” knows to serve hot food. They remade the dishes with a watery sauce and the server claimed it’s all pre-made and stored so it’s the same - two issues here - don’t tell guests at the prices you’re charging it’s pre-made and the second sauce was not properly done. We requested crusty bread to soak up the soupy sauce - we were brought a bread platter with soft bread, spreads and olives- not at all what we wanted. In the end they so graciously (insert sarcasm) took of the bread platter we didn’t order and a bottle of water. The experience was over $200 and atrocious. Would NOT recommend. It feels like a small town attempt at fine dining with their kids working the bar and service and a couple people in the kitchen attempting to cook.

I normally review places I go to & I was iffy about leaving a review for this place because it is new & they will get better with time hopefully & know reviews are important but I was waiting for the waitress to at least ask about the food so we can at least tell her, & she did not even do that.
The restaurant itself- big space and beautiful.
We went on a Friday night at 8:30 pm and it was empty, 3 tables seated in the patio.
Service was great, the hostess was super friendly and the bartender was very polite, friendly and informative.
Now this is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant- and they are on the pricier side & try subtle upsell tactics such as immediately without asking open 2 bottles of water & charge you $17 for it which I dont consider normal etiquette at all. We would have ordered a bottle anyway but you should have asked, at least for the 2nd bottle instead of opening immediately and being sneaky it doesnt leave a good taste in the customers’s mouth.
The food, i was VERY disappointed. While I do appreciate that the chef I think added an extra scallop without trying to charge us for it because apparently they normally do 2 scallops for $33 ? Lol. Wild. But thanks anyways. They were good i liked them but a BIT on the overcooked side.
The branzino ceviche ? Absolutely horrible. I love ceviche so I was very upset when they placed a pretty ugly looking mango and cucumber salad on the table super finely diced so that you cant notice there is barley any fish in there at all. Extremely disappointing. $29 for that. Complete waste of money.
What we were most disappointed by? The octopus. We LOVE octopus & have went to many places for it. $52 and they delivered 2 rather small & veryyyyyy overcooked & chewy tentacles. Cassius also offers a $52 super small octopus dish which is overpriced but it was so perfectly cooked and seasoned we recommend it everywhere.
Black angus tartar was delicioussssss we loved that. Also super small , $33.
Overall a nice place with nice people but sneaky energy & overpriced and not worth the quality. would not return.

The service was amazing! We were there to celebrate my fiance’s birthday and they brought out complimentary proscecco and caviar! The staff was exceptionally nice and attentive. The location was great. The patio has heaters (and blankets) so it was nice. Food was good and delicious, but I’d say the taste profile is not exceptional.

Beautiful restaurant, absolutely stunning. The attention to detail taken in decor is notable. Really loved our server and server assistant. They were kind, quick, and went the extra mile to make us feel special. The potato confit with beef tartar and osso bucco live rent free in my mind. Will be coming back again.

I had a wonderful experience at Convivium! The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and every staff member was attentive. A special thank you to Daniel for taking such great care of us. I loved the atmosphere, and the surprise for my birthday made the evening even more memorable. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Ok, lets start with the upside: food is delicious and the servers are good.
Downside: we came in for late/lunch at around 2 pm, we were seated, and they took our orders. After a couple of minutes, a staff member (manager?) came and told us that we had to leave because they had a private party (??, even though the restaurant was empty, except for us), and the kitchen could not prepare our dishes. So, I mean, we got our wine glasses, and were about to leave, but then they told us we could stay (???). Was it because we were speaking Spanish? I don't appreciate feeling scrubbed off..
Will never come back.

I really enjoyed everything about Convivium. the food the decor and definitely the drinks.
Can’t wait to share a review for this spot! Looks like a new gem near King & Yonge. Stopped in for lunch with my co-workers and we were pleasantly surprised. For the price, the lunch menu tastes absolutely exquisite — portions are just right and the quality of the food is excellent.
It’s rare to find something this good downtown without breaking the bank. Definitely adding this place to my “go-to” list!

Never thought that I would find an Osso Bucco better than my moms! Paired with the saffron rice? I was in heaven
