It's been about 24 hours since we enjoyed the premium tasting menu and we're still full and talking about the white truffle tagliatelle in butter sauce and the stuffed chicken wing. I have wanted to come here for years and was not disappointed.

We ordered the tasting menu and it was totally worth the price. We got to try a bunch of different dishes, and our favourites were definitely the fried watermelon and the shrimp wontons. I loved the seasoning and texture of the fried watermelon — crunchy on the outside and soft and juicy inside. And the XO sauce on the wontons was honestly so good; you can really taste the seafood richness. Overall, everything was really good quality, and we’d definitely go back again.

Drinks are great. Quantity of some food items is less. Taste is subtle but excellent. It’s also overpriced but that’s expected. For my vegetarian friends, Please don’t order the Panang fried eggplant and burrata, it’s a joke!!

We shared a post concert late night feast by way of the tasting menu for 3. What a journey it was! Each course delivered such a depth of flavour and created a very cohesive and delicious meal. The selected sake was the perfect accompaniment to the whole meal.
Standout dishes for us: chokeberry dumplings, smoked duck and the eggplant- although there was nothing that we were adverse to!
Thank you DaiLo for and epic and satisfying end to our ladies night out.

This was a disapointment. I’d been wanting to try DaiLo for months but this did not meet expectations at all for several reasons.
First, the hostesses do not know how to greet guests. I got a call five minutes after my reservation time asking if I was still coming. I already confirmed my reservation this morning, and there’s a 15 minute grace period…I called back to say we were around the corner, worried they were giving away our table. When we arrived 2 minutes later the hostesses were cold and awkward. We were brought usptairs (which was empty….) and were told we could hang our jackets up on a rack behind a table on the other side of the restaurant. This is not normal anywhere let alone a top restaurant. We were then seated at the worst table in a corner with major exposed drywall patching. So the first impression was pretty negative.
I want to give credit to the waiters upstairs who were very pleasant and helpful in telling us about the different dishes. Unfortunately, the ambiance upstairs was frankly quite drab and run down. It looked like they had just half redone the walls. The bathroom is a mess, offering an empty Life brand soap bottle with a broken handle. Not appropriate for a $300 dinner - more like a dive bar.
The food was overall quite good but not outstanding, not enough for the price tag imo. We ended the night by awkwardly reaching over the far table to retrieve our own jackets. Lacklustre outing.

Was surprisingly dissapointed given all the good things I've heard. Unfortunately I think you get a much different experience upstairs than downstairs. The upstairs space was run down and felt like an afterthought, and doesn't at all match the pleasant ambiance downstairs. I guess my mistake was chosing a High-Top instead of Standard Seating - would strongly recommend booking downstairs if possible. Aside from that, the hosts seemed very inexperienced, the servers upstairs were great, and the food was pretty good - although the bitter taste from the cold reception upon arriving and feeling that we were banished to an entirely different feeling restaurant probaly affected my palate.
Extraordinary dinner experience at DaiLo. We had the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was unique, delicious, thoughtfully put together. Definitely Micheline star caliber.
Great experience at DaiLo with the tasting menu! Most dishes were exceptional and probably one of the best Asian fusion restaurants in the city! Favourites were the Creamy Uni Dumplings, Hakka Brown Wontons, and the Sweet and Sour Pork Hock! The Brown Sugar Fortune Cake dessert is my personal top 3 favourite in the city!
Been twice… just not impressed… I found the duck smelled and tasted like ham… it wasn’t hot. I don’t know what we were expecting but it was really quite disappointing:( won’t be back.. sorry

Absolutely phenomenal experience! The service and food were both exceptional—truly top-tier. I went with the premium menu, and Geoff and David curated an unforgettable meal based entirely on what I was craving that day. Every course was a perfect balance of creativity, flavour, and freshness.
What made it even more special were the genuine laughs and warm moments shared between each dish. It felt less like dining out and more like being part of something personal and joyful. The ever-changing menu keeps things exciting, showcasing whatever’s freshest and most in season, so there’s always something new to discover.
Honestly, it was an exemplary dining experience from start to finish :) Thoughtful, dynamic, and absolutely delicious!!!

Dailo might just be my favourite restaurant in the city. I've been over 10 times and the menu never ceases to amaze me. The flavours are so bold that they never get boring and the tasting menu keeps a good balance of classic favourites and new inspirations. The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming.

I've been coming here for years and the food is always excellent and the servers are always lovely 😊
Truly appalled after arriving to one of our favourite restaurants and as high paying customers. Unfortunately, there was no welcome - apparently a ‘hostess’ named Adriana. She told us there were no tables despite there being several in sight. Eventually, other servers sat us and she was embarrassed. We will no longer be visiting this restaurant with sub par food and despicable service

kind servers, well-designed menu, thoroughly enjoy my time. Favorite dish was the burmese tofu, wow it was explosive. Coming back again for the duck.
