We really appreciated the team holding our table despite the terrible traffic. Kudos to our server—though I forgot his name, he made our experience wonderful. The food was outstanding, and I was equally impressed by how knowledgeable and attentive the staff were. The octopus taco was a standout! Portions were very generous, making it great value for money. Overall, a great experience, especially with how accommodating they were to our requests.

Where's Dailo's Michelin star honestly come on get with it! Absolutely incredible food and never a better service experience around.

Exceptional service! We so appreciated the care, time and attention we receiving. The food was creative and delicious. The only issue was the incredibly loud table seated next to us. We struggled to hear what our servers were saying, and our own conversations. Certainly not something the restaurant has any control of, but just the same, it had a negative impact on our evening.

We tried the Chef's menu. For two people the bill came at around $700 ($600 +tip) Really on the very pricey side. Food was good, service was amazing but overall not sure if it was all worth the 700. Probably will never go again even though the staff and service was amazing.

Incredible food with great service. Expensive but well worth it. Will go back again. Had the premium chef pick tasting menu. Not a bad bite in 9 dishes.

The service at DaiLo was absolutely impeccable — I have never experienced such high-end customer care. The menu was explained to us in detail, and our waitress provided excellent suggestions. Each time a dish was brought out, it was introduced and described so we knew exactly what we were enjoying. Every bite was truly mouthwatering. The restaurant itself was stunning — the artwork, ambiance, and attention to detail made for a wonderful atmosphere. Even the washrooms were spotless, which shows their commitment to quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at DaiLo and would recommend it to all my friends without hesitation.

Just one word: excellence! Dailo never stop to surprise in a good way. In this business, consistency is key and Dailo got the memo

The food was amazing, the pork dumplings with xo sauce was my favourite. The service was attentive and the ambivalence was old school but still nice. My only gripe is the 1 hour seating limit. I felt rushed when ordering and I believe that is their intention with their single page menu which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However our table was from 6-7pm and all the food came out around 6:35-6:40pm which isn't ideal for a relaxed dinner. I did not feel there was enough time when you account paying for the bill as well.

The food is truly delicious and the flavours in every course complex and varied. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One very small point...the food course descriptions delivered with each course was great, but it's a very “ lively” room so it was often difficult to hear. Maybe a bit slower and slightly louder, depending on the surrounding noise level, would benefit the diner. But truly our compliments to the kitchen and serving staff. Great to see the standard still so hi after all these years.

Was my second time dining here at Dailo, absolutely phenomenal things they do here. Service was outstanding and the food was beyond exceptional, truly one of the best restaurants here in Toronto.

Words cannot explain how wonderful our experience was at DaiLo. Of course the food was delicious and well thought out but what amazed us was how accommodating and kind the staff was. We truly enjoyed our evening and will love to come again.

Meals were very delicious and interesting fusion dishes. Servers did a great job explaining the menu and features not on the menu. We were seated upstairs near the lounge, which was a bit quieter. We sat on a high top table and I was sitting on a stool which I was comfortable with, but may not be for others.

I wish there was more regular seating, as the high tops are not great for a longer meal and the number of dishes in the tasting menu. But we should probably have reserved earlier! Overall an amazing restaurant!

This was our first time dining at DaiLo after hearing raving reviews from friends and overall, it was an acceptable experience. The biggest fault we found was in the service. When we first were seated, we were told that we had a two hour dining limit which would've been fine, given it was just my boyfriend and I but, the food took far too long to come out; as in we waited 30 min from the time we finished one main dish till the next main was served. After waiting an acceptable amount of time between courses, I was finally able to flag down our waitress to cancel our last dish since we had less than 10 minutes until our reservation was up to which she “moved things around” so we could get an extra 30 minutes. From then it took another 10 minutes to get our last course, which also happened to be my least favourite dish, so needless to say, I was feeling a little off put by the lack of timeliness and attentiveness given their set dining limit. Overall, the food was good but, nothing exceptional, the portions were reasonable for a higher end restaurant, and the service was nothing more than acceptable. DaiLo has been on our must try list for quite some time and I'm glad we went but, I don't think we would dine again.
