We paid for the tasting menu, but it was coursed over two hours and was very unbalanced. The first 4 courses were about one bite per person, which left us starving for the first hour and a half, with the bulk of the meal only arriving in the final course. The food was great but with how long it took and how expensive it was, it didn't feel like good value. A bill for two of us totalled over 500$ but did not receive the type of experience you would expect from a meal that pricy.

As always, phenomenal service and the best food in Toronto. DaiLo can't be beat in either category. We moved to Kingston and still make sure to come by when we're in Toronto.

Had a wonderful birthday experience at DaiLo. The staff are so professional and attentive. We got the Regualr Set Menu for 2 people and the food was incredible. My favourites were the Hakka Brown Wontons, Smoked Trout Pomelo Betel Leaf and Smoked Duck Bokkeum!!

If you want to go for a food adventure in Asian fusion cuisine mark this place as a stop to make. The moment you walk through the door you are greeted like family and spoiled with truffles and lobster.

What a disappointment! My family went twice to Daillo before 2020. We liked it a lot back then. But this time not so much. I reserved three weeks before on my OpenTable app and noticed that only high tables were available No other choices. So I picked the high table . It turned out all the tables for four guests at Dailo were not high tables at all. Except ours. The maitre de assured us that she will do her utmost to find a regular table while we're being seated Of course that did not happen. Food was okay. But not as good as we remembered it. We know far better non-fusion Hakka restaurants than this fusion one.

The food was excellent, creative, using sustainable products and the wine list is qualitative. A good fair price for the premium tasting menu. The team is friendly, professional and let breath to the customer. Excellent experience. Hope to come back!

I would like to preface my review by explaining that I have dined at Dailo in the past, and also ordered takeout tasting menus during Covid lockdowns (the food for which was both creative and thoughtfully packed to keep the food at its best during transport). My recent dining in experience was delicious as always, but I was a bit disappointed the selection of dishes for my tasting menu. As the only person with a shellfish allergy in our group, I received several vegan dishes which were unremarkable. While I appreciate that fillings are made ahead of time and that a vegetarian/vegan filling is the easiest substitution, it would have been preferable for me to have fewer courses and have larger servings of the dishes that I could eat. As a non-vegan, my vegan substitutes for the shellfish courses were truly disappointing. Our table of 4 also received two fried rice portions, one with grated foie gras on top and one with truffle. While the presentation for both was very pretty, serving the rice in small bowls with serving spoons was impractical since everyone could the foie gras. Overall, I love the food at Dailo and will go back, but will forgo the tasting menu and order specific dishes next time. I just hope that my review inspires the kitchen to take a different approach for other diners with an allergy.

This was not our first visit to Dai Lo. We were very satisfied with our first visit and came back for another try. Absolutely AMAZING from the food to the service!!! We will be back and would ABSOLUTELY recommend it to our Family and Friends!!!

Excellent space, outstanding food, prefect portion sizes, unparalleled service, and extremely good value: DaiLo is a rarity in Toronto, and the world. Staff truly know the ingredients of every dish, know how to expertly pair wines with individual courses, know when to address the table and when to give the guests their space. Go, and marvel at the flavours, textures and inventiveness. Take a chance and let them choose dishes for you: you will be delighted and surprised.

Personally, we found the dishes ordered were very sweet… so we decided to leave… Don’t like the fried watermelon even if it sounds interesting. The taco is too salty…..

First time trying Dailo because we have heard good things. We got the fried watermelon, octopus taco, pumpkin dumplings and the smoked duck. We thought the food was pretty good in general, but we did not really enjoy the smoked duck, it was just sweet and felt quite one dimensional in flavour. We didn't really understand that dish at all. We thought overall it was a really expensive meal, even though some dishes were good, it didn't feel worth as a whole. We wouldn't go back.

Absolutely incredible meal experience. They spent a lot of time asking us about our preferences and made a custom menu for us and our different dietary restrictions.The food was absolutely amazing and it just kept coming. Cannot recommend enough.
