Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Danish Pastry House for coffee or pastries. The service was disorganized, and the staff member I interacted with was surprisingly aggressive when I asked for clarification about the menu. It made for an uncomfortable experience overall.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this bakery, and I must say—everything about the experience was exceptional.
The food, from the fresh pastries to the delicious bread and perfectly brewed coffee, was outstanding. Each item tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor, clearly made with care and quality ingredients.
But what truly sets this place apart is the people. Great businesses are built on great service, and this bakery exemplifies that principle perfectly.
The team—Ayla, Ullas, Nilu, and Haziem—are nothing short of superstars. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for each customer elevate the experience beyond just good food. I would not hesitate to hire any of them when I open my own business someday.
To the entire team: thank you for everything you do to make your customers feel welcome and appreciated. Your smiles and service make all the difference.
This is truly a wonderful place to enjoy top-quality pastries, coffee, and bread. Keep up the fantastic work!
I like the kanel snegels (could be wrong spelling) the cinnamon roll looking things with the regular icing not the chocolate. Good flavour and texture. About $4 each. Prices rather steep - $3 for one gingerbread cookie???
If you are looking for an authentic Danish treat, this is your place. Very well located inside Union Station it offers a huge variety of traditional Danish desserts, including Spandauer, Viking Slice, Flodeboller, Wienerstang, KanelSnegl Chokolade and Kringle.
It was difficult to decide but we end up having a Viking Slice and a Strawberry Cheesecake Slice. Both were delicious we are definitely coming back for more next time.

Great selection of pastries, croissants and bread. The best part is their lovely staff that answered all our questions and made Great recommendations. Make sure to stop by and grab some for yourself next time your in downtown Toronto. Located in the basement level of union station.
The crew on Sunday were super chill but attentive. Much better than other times I've visited when all were chatty Cathy's ignoring the customers. Got my cinnamon fix for travel on the Via train!
Convenient location and always fresh pastries. The services is great and the workers are kind.
Great service with a smile and lots of pastries and beverages to choose from. We ordered 4 different ones for $18 and it came in a box which was great for bringing over to friend’s for sharing. The croissant was a bit dry though so taste-wise, it could use some improvement. Conveniently located in Union Station middle level (one floor below ground level. No seating within the store.
Tip: if you’re ordering multiple baked goods, take a photo of the ones you want as the baked goods are at the front but the cashier is near the back of the store and you can’t get the baked goods by yourself.
I coming with a friends to get some drinks with good energy and the people that work there or the owners I don’t know, bring to us really bad actitud jus because we take a few minutes to order the drinks, it’s sad come to another country and see people like that !! God bless you

5 stars for the pastries, 0 stars for customer service.
This morning at 7 AM, I visited Danish Pastry for the first time. The variety of pastries is impressive, and the quality is outstanding. However, the customer service was disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome—no greeting, no acknowledgment. In particular, the older lady working there seemed indifferent and dismissive. It's surprising to see repeated complaints about her in reviews, yet nothing seems to change. Great pastries, but they seriously need to improve how they treat customers.

Convenient spot for a snack at the train station. We were really happy with our pastries. We had a ham & havarti croissant and a cinnamon snail. Both were delicious and the prices are very good! Not the best pastries i’ve had, but you would normally pay much more for the same quality. Staff not overly friendly.

I visited around 5:30 p.m. on the 25th, and the employee who served the bread was friendly, but the dark-skinned, thin female employee who was looking at the counter was very unfriendly.
I had my arms crossed and the employee who had chosen the bread handed me the bread. Without saying a word, I entered the price into the reader and received the bread without saying anything.

Worst service ever!!! I spent $180+ in the store, thought they be happy. I get this rude attitude like they don't want my business. I was tempted to walk out multiple times while the grumpy old lady got my order. I will definitely take my corporate orders elsewhere. Be warned.
