Love the other Dark Horse locations I've been to, but the coffee here was such a let down. Way under-extracted, giving a watery, weak taste that I couldn't enjoy.
Normally something I'd return to the barista and get remade, but I didn't want to interrupt their conversation about other jobs they'd left or been fired from.
Toronto has a handful of killer cafes. The building and design of this place is amazing, but I'd rather go somewhere with good coffee that makes me feel welcome.

Blazing fast guest wifi, super strong coffee. Peaceful workspace with giant windows and plenty of sunlight. Squeaky clean bathrooms in the Robertson buildings. Can't complain.

Ordered espresso today. Service was slow and the shot was very sour.
Amateurs who don't know how to pull a good espresso shot. Won't go back.
Two years later and I tried again sour Espresso. 0 stars do not recommend

Went there 3 times in 3 days and each time I went the staff behind the till and baristas were all incredibly rude and sassy. Smart and sarcastic comments when you ask a question. Would definitely not go here again

Monday Nov 25 at 1030am. I asked for Skim Milk and was assured my drink would be made that way. After it was rung up tho...the register said..',1 percent' which was fine, but not SKIM tho. The man behind the Register shrugged and said they were the same. I told him how they were different. A shrug. Then I reached for a saucer and MAN the girl was snippy...'just ask I'll give it to you' she said, eventually. Rude.

A fine cozy place for a quick coffee. It might be a bit hard to find a seat bc many people are working here. Also, it can feel a bit uncomfortable if you wanna talk out loud with others since people are working here quietly…

This Dark Horse Expresso Bar location on Spadina Avenue certainly is certainly known for their house blends and with this first visit by us , we recognize the high quality of the staff, their very warm hospitality and warm welcoming…the atmosphere was quite pleasant and the smiles and laughter by the customers demonstrated people were have a very good time at this location..

the drinks are good and they make them really fast. All of the staff is nice too.
They always have a rotating assortment of baked goods, and the sandwiches they have are good too.
My only complaint is that they sometimes sell loaves of bread but each time I got them they were stale.
