Really uninterested staff that are too cool for school. Look, I just wanted a coffee, not your judgement or attitude, ok? Won’t come back.

Got the dirtiest look of my life for ordering the gf muffin- an employee stocking stuff, not even behind the counter, whipped her head around to glare at me. Ok, don't sell it then and I won't disturb your vibe by buying it, take it away

Love that this location is on a quieter street so you can sit and enjoy your drink. Dark Horse always do a great Hot Chocolate and they’re often my go to spot in the city. I’ve been to most of their locations and I’m never disappointed.

Went close to closing and the lady was so rude to even ask what I need instead just said closed. I told her I didn’t need any service but had a question to ask and she just said she’s busy and walked away. A very young girl and being so rude to a senior just makes me wonder what their future holds in regards to inter acting with real human. How is she even allowed to run a cafe with such attitude? Except maybe she owns the place.

There is a tipping policy where 2% of their tips go to their management staff. Be aware of where your tip money goes.
This used to be my go-to spot in the neighbourhood, but I will never be returning because of the decision to steal wages from the hard-working, low paid front of house staff by forcing an absurd tip pooling system that pays out to upper management and office staff. Dark Horse has also started firing staff who take issue with this ridiculous policy. I will be boycotting and visiting the many other coffee shops in the neighbourhood that show their staff an ounce of respect.

Love this place and their bread, but giving 1 star to send a message to dark horse management. They take a fraction of the barista’s tips, which is messed up. Sharing with the bakers is one thing, but higher paid salaries positions shouldn’t get a penny of those tips, regardless what you think about tip culture getting out of hand.

Just a few minutes ago, I ordered an iced cappuccino and waited at the corner.
The barista with pink t shirt short hair with glasses made an iced flat white and it is in a smaller cup. She shouted iced flat white and nobody responded. Then we had eye contacts, so she asked me what did I I get? I sailed iced cappuccino with oat milk.
She told me this is mine and she said it’s the same.
I am looking at it quite confused, because all the places in the world give a bigger sized cups. I saw some other people with bigger cups, so I asked her why do they have bigger size. Then she said that’s because they ordered iced latte.
Since it’s my first time having coffee in this shop, I wasn’t sure if she saying the truth or not.
Overall I’m not happy with the size for cappuccino and I felt scammed. Especially I am a person of minority.

Nestled on a quaint corner, this small cafe offers a cozy ambiance perfect for a relaxing afternoon. From the fresh smell of coffee to homemade pastries, each bite is a delight. The friendly staff adds a personal touch, making it a hidden gem worth visiting again and again.
I had the London Fog and Flat White. The London Fog had a delicate taste of lavender which complimented the Earl Grey beautifully.
The Flat White was perfectly steamed and finished with a Rosetta. The Flat White carried aromatic notes of dark chocolate and toasted almonds, which was deliciously paired with their offering of oat milk.
I had grabbed myself a bag of Rwanda beans, Natural process -- something that I don't see very often and am very excited to brew at home.
