Lovely service, great window seats.
We got The Canadian, could maybe use a bit more sauce for my taste so maybe next time I’ll get extra, but overall an incredible pie. Very flavourful and all fresh ingredients.
Will definitely be coming back!

First time having Detroit-style pizza and was it ever satisfying. Definitely prefer this to Chicago-style deep dish pizzas. The pizza was just made really well with lots of great ingredients and flavours, and I liked that the crust had a little bit of crisp to it.
We ordered the personal size Daddy's Favourite to share because I was intrigued by the combination of the jerk chicken, the kothu roti and the mango chutney. Just seemed like such a cool mix of different cultures and flavours. The verdict was the pizza was awesome and I would recommend it.
When I eventually make my way back here I think i would probably try the Canadian pizza next, just to see the place's take on the classic.
Really solid pizza. Perfect combination of textures, portions, ingredients, flavours. Just the right amount of crispiness and cheese/sauce ratio. I’ve had Giordano’s in Chicago and I legitimately prefer Descendant.
This style of pizza is very filling so probably no need to order huge quantity.
Staff is very friendly. Nice chill casual environment. Limited seating depending on time/day, be prepared to potentially get your order to-go.

Walked in and the service was really nice and friendly. Liked the creativity of the pizzas and there are flavours I just haven't seen anywhere else. Got the jaffna and electric avenue and highly recommend trying both. They don't have that much space inside but we were able to get a spot for 4 luckily.
Descendant Detroit Style Pizza was definitely worth the drive. My partner and I shared a pepperoni pizza, and it really hit the spot. I’m usually more of a thin-crust pizza person, so Detroit-style isn’t normally my first choice, but this was good enough that I’d happily come back for a second visit.
The pizza was incredibly filling, with a generous amount of cheese and toppings. I also appreciated that they use tomatoes in the sauce instead of relying solely on blending the tomatoes into a sauce—it added a nice freshness and depth of flavor that helped set it apart. The topping-to-cheese ratio was excellent, and every bite felt substantial without being overwhelming.
The crust had that classic Detroit-style texture: thick, airy, and satisfying, while still delivering great flavor throughout. Between the quality ingredients, generous portions, and overall taste, it’s easy to see why this place has such a strong reputation.
I didn’t dine in but the seating was full, small place probably could use some more of that. Parking was a bit hard as it was street and paid. Lots of no parking around so it was a bit difficult.

Ordered delivery, to PM Hospital. Pizza was good, would have been great if it was semi-hot. Order came 15 minutes later than the ETA. If you are going to eat here, go in person.

Stopped in yesterday before seeing a show at the Opera House. This might be the best Detroit style I have ever had. We ordered the Canadian and it was delicious. Shout out to the amazing red sauce. The staff was also incredible. I would honestly make the trip from Hamilton just to eat this pizza.

Not a bad pizza at all, but just a bit too pricey for my liking. Got a simple large cheese and it was kinda small. The garlic aioli sauce is very delicious though. Will have to give them another try one day.
