This place was really good! Highly recommend this place over Manchu wok and bourbon street grill. Staff was very friendly and even packed the containers with huge portions! The variety they had on the menu is pretty good as well and everything taste fresh

Super tasty lunch spot! I come here regularly, and it never disappoints!! The portions are very generous, the food is delicious (especially the honey garlic chicken), and the prices are super affordable. Will definitely continue to eat here!

Very nice ambiance, great views even when your not at a table right by the window. So great experience for that. The food was mediocre for the price point. Absolutely dissapointing food. Would recommend if you don't mind paying alot for a great view and top notch service while your not necessarily eating food that matches the experience. If you actually want a nice good meal, go elsewhere.

The service was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, we have 2 bottles of water and we put them on the table. The waiter asked us to pour the water from the bottle because he doesn't want to see water bottle on the table. This is very off putting. During our entire lunch, our glasses were filled once and we requested it. The food was just mediocre. It's not the restaurant that it was before. One more thing to add, when we arrived, the waitress was leading us to the table in the corner, there are several empty tables near the window that also have the lake view. I asked to switch the table.

The rationale not to offer bread because it may have to be tossed uneaten, with charging for bread if desired, is bogus. If you have bread to sell you will have unsold bread to toss. Having to pay to soak in wonderful sauces puts a sour point in an otherwise wonderful meal. One pays a premium price for a premium meal experience. There is no justification for skimping. Add $1 per meal to cover bread goes unnoticed. Having to pay for bread if asked is self-defeating

Perfect restaurant to start celebrating my birthday month. Drinks were good, clams fresh, lamb entree excellent. Service attentive. View across the lake and CN Tower made for a memorable evening. Only fly in the ointment was asking to be moved to another table after a large party came in with an infant no more than a month old and was seated next to us. I'm not paying that kind of money to be subjected to a crying baby...and yes it did start crying within 29 minutes.

Our 1st time dining here since it opened many years ago. We sat at the Chef's Rail. We were celebrating our Anniversary. These are great seats to watch the action in the kitchen. Our server Sarah was informative, personable & absolutely amazing! The food was delicious! The only items we didn't enjoy on the tasting menu was the carrot cake & the white chocolate raspberry petit four. The carrot cake was too acidic. The white chocolate was too sweet!

We enjoyed our experience at Canoe, but given the restaurant's notoriety, it did not live up to our expectations. Having dined at some of Toronto's top restaurants and some of the best restaurants around the world, I did not feel the meal was worth the price. The staff were very friendly, the wine was excellent, and the presentation of the food was great, however, the service could have been better. Our server was very personable, but when our dishes were delivered, explanations were either too quiet, or didn't provide enough information. If prices were more reasonable, my review would be more positive, however, at the cost of a Canoe meal, I expected more. For this reason, I would not dine at Canoe again, and instead choose to go somewhere more personable like Edulis.

Pros: 1. Good ambience with the city skyline view. 2. Open kitchen concept Cons: 1. The quantity portions of the main meals are ridiculously small. 10 oz veal steak portion is the as the appetizer that other restaurant serve as steak tartare considering its prices at almost $80 2. The Ontario lamb rack portion is absolutely pathetic again compared to the pricing of $80 or more. 3. The taste of the food is average and I definitely had better rack of lamb and steaks with better prices at other restaurants in Toronto. 4. The server frowns at you if you don't give the highest percentage applicable tip and goes and complain to other members of his staff. I really wonder how this place became a michelin star restaurant and should be demoted. Please carefully consider before booking this place Absolutely poor customer service and food ?

Our waitress was truly amassing!!! The view is spectacular. The food is fabulous!! They did not have B&B for our after dinner drink, but the bartender made a very close duplicate, making it a perfect evening!! Thankyou!!!
