You wait outside in the rain & snow, pay way too much for a breakfast sandwich - then you’re asked to wait again (this morning I waited for half an hour for 3 breakfast sandwiches). The sandwiches were stone cold by the time the guy tossed them in my bag. I arrived at 9 am sharp, spent $75 on 3 sandwiches and 4 croissants, gave a reasonable tip, left 30 min later with cold food. Remind me why people line up for this?

Delicious croissants, be prepared for a line up or some goodies being sold out.

One of the best places to find really good pistachio croissants, really good coffee, a great atmosphere, and delicious cookies.

The almond-chocolate and Pistachio croissants are some of the best I’ve ever had and the plain croissant is also in my top 3 if not the best in Toronto.
Sourdough bread from here is also amazing and would highly recommend but be careful and follow their guide on how to cut, store and handle it

Definitely one of the top croissants in the city.
Finally got to try their croissants on a Saturday morning. I got here at 10am and unfortunately they were already sold out of their almond and pistachio croissants. There was a small line up inside the store.
I ended up getting an assortment of their savory and sweet croissants. I have to say their regular croissant is definitely one of the best in the city: buttery and super flakey.
Would highly recommend and I want to come back to try their almond and pistachio croissants.

One of the city’s best bakeries featuring one of its best breakfast sandwiches.

The bakery offers great products — everything looks and tastes high quality. I especially loved the passion fruit kouign-amann, it was delicious. The scones had a nice texture, though a bit too many white chocolate chips for my taste. The apple danish was nice too, but it would’ve been even better warm. The only downside was the service — the server came off a little rude when we were just trying to figure out where to sit. Overall, good pastries, but the experience could’ve been friendlier

Food was tasty but really overpriced. Croissants are nearly $10, sandwiches were $20 and I got squash toast for $18.50 and a tiny drip coffee (no refills) for $3.50 + $0.5 for oat milk. My friend got avocado toast for about the same price, but it was just avocado and a small bit of sauce. My toast was delicious, but still so small for the price.
We went to sit on the patio (first winter day but it was heated well) after ordering from the main area. We were given a small glass of water and our food, but tried many times to flag down a server for more water and finally got some more, even though we had finished all of our food. The chairs outside are also super loud when moved, which was really irritating and didn't create a good atmosphere.
TLDR; tasty food, but overpriced and the seated area doesn't have a great atmosphere or service.

Best pastries in the world, the pistachio croissant is out of this world (if you’re lucky enough to grab one before they sell out)

Baked goods are pricier on average, but the quality is there and the service is friendly, which can be overwhelmed in the small store area which can get packed easily. There is an outdoor seating tent available.

Came on a Sunday. Queued for about 10mins. There was seating area next to the cafe.
Bought pistachios croissants ($9.5+tax). This is the most expensive croissant I have ever tried in my life. Because of its powerful reviews, I gave it a try.
I didn't reheat before eat and I believed it was just baked.
The presentation itself was perfect, very attractive, couldn't wait to give it a bite. It's crunchy. The amount of pistachios was generous, fully covered the crossiant. The crossiant was not a plain croissant as I could see a layer of sauce or jam in between the top of the croissant and the pistachio. Every bite was flavourful and mouthful. The size was big enough to feed myself or share with friend. First experience was not disappointed, as I don't have sweet teeth, it's sweetness was a bit over. As a crossiant lover, I have high judgement and expectation. I would say it is not easy to find a perfectly baked crossiant in Toronto.

Heard so much about Emmer that I had to try out this bakery, and it did not disappoint! Their pastries are super flaky and fresh, and pair well with a coffee! You can even get some great salads as well!

Sausage roll: 5/5 delicious, I love a savoury pastry so this one is it! The sausage itself had a really good flavour and pastry was so flaky. Mouthwatering.
Pistachio croissant: 3/5 reading the reviews, it's really hard to get ahold of but got one at 9:30am on a Saturday. I enjoyed it, filling was perfect amount of sweetness and the crusted pistachio was beautiful and crunchy. Glad I tried it but for $10, I don't think I'd get it again.
Sausage Breakfast sandwich: 5/5 delicious, must be the same sausage they use in the sausage roll. English muffin was nicely toasted and the hot sauce was a nice touch!
Chocolate chip cookie: 3/5 good, but for the price I wouldn't get it again.
70% dark chocolate croissant: 5/5 so good, wish it was cheaper than $7.25 each but each bite was perfectly flakey on the outside and soft inside and balanced with the perfect sweetness
Roast beef sandwich: 5/5 it was $22.50 so I debated long and hard but I can’t even hate bc it was so delicious, the thick wad of roast beef was fresh and was a huge upgrade in terms of quality and taste from deli meat roast beef, bread was flat but complimented the sandwich perfectly, caramelized onion and mustard just hit perfectly on a high quality sandwich!
Bit of a pricier spot, but the pastries are good and service in the patio was friendly.
