Great food and helpful friendly service. Lots of choices for a small stand! The only problem is the pricing is confusing. Soup prices are not easy to find and there is only one price for the bowls even though they come in two sizes.

I ordered a beef curry, and it was good, but the beef didn’t have as many spices as I expected. The side dish, however, was so spicy that I couldn’t handle it. Since I’m not a person who enjoys spicy food, it was still a satisfying meal overall.
Thanks to Esther Queen Soups

I ordered curry shrimp and beef
The shrimp was good but the rest of the meal i have to say it was one of the worst meal I ever had
The further I went, the spicier and spicier the food became — to the point where even the drink didn’t help anymore and the taste had turned bitter

A friend and I found Esther Queen of Soups yesterday after I developed a mild sore throat from weather change. I was shocked to learn that they've been serving delicious soups, wraps, kothu, rolls, and rice & curries for the past 25 years! The lovely Tamil ladies at the front recommended the Mulligatwany soup for my throat and I got a tandoori chicken wrap to go with it. My friend got the butter chicken wrap, Mulligatwany soup, and a mutton roll. Everything was so yummy! Halfway through our meal, they also brought us rasam (a spicy Tamil soup-like dish) for my throat. It was so kind and helped my throat calm down so much!
I can't wait to visit them again!

I worked in the Yorkville area a few years ago, that’s when I found this little gem of awesomeness. I was hooked instantly to their homemade curries made daily by just the sweetest group of ladies. Esther Queen of Soups is what you want if you want delicious food fast. *Also…THEIR SAMOSAS ARE THE BEST IN THE CITY!!

Esther really is the queen of soup! I tried her chicken broth with rice last week and it was so delicious that I went again today. It's very flavourful and I loved the naan too! All for a great price ($8 for a small soup + naan). I'll definitely continue to return :)
