In Toronto, most coffee shops and roasters offer the same fare, and nothing stands out. But Ethica goes above and beyond in ways that make it one of my favorites. Their specialty drinks are exceptional. The decor and thoughtful seating arrangements create a welcoming space. They stock 10% cream and won't judge you for using it (unlike many third-wave shops in town that act like you've committed a coffee crime). Cortado.
A really special place, the cortado was wonderful. The space is nice and the atmosphere is so pleasant. I forgot to take pictures of their coffee bean merchandise, they are really good and the packaging is fun.
