Lots of hype around this place and it’s certainly warranted. Usually quite a long wait time to get in so we had to go a little earlier on a Friday. The set up inside is unique as there is only stool seating along two U shaped tables and along the windows. Wasn’t sure how I would feel about that, but it works fine if you’re a couple.Food was superb - some of the best tacos you can get in the city. The Quesabirria Con Consome seems to be what they are best known for, and it’s an absolute must. We also got the shrimp aguachile + leguna and pollo tacos. To be honest its more filling than you’d think so we had to take some home. No complaints with anything however, great little spot and we will definitely be coming back to check it out in the summer!

Food was incredible and affordable. Best tacos and guac I've had in Toronto. Service was also great, super friendly staff. The place also had an interesting seating layout that I appreciated. Definitely would go again!

Everything was amazing but have to mention that we waited 2 hours for a seat. We went to the restaurant and the hostess told us it would be an hour wait so we gave them our number and went for a drink at a nearby restaurant. Nobody called us to say our table waa ready so we decided just to walk back after an hour. When we got to the restaurant, the hostess was a bit rude and told us it would be another half an hour. We accepted the wait and sat down. It actually ended up being an hour which in total it was two hours before we were seated. It appeared that because we were a part of three , we would have to wait until another party of 3 was ready to leave. People who were a party of 2, 4 or even 6 who came after us were seated. We asked for an appie while we wait and the hostess said we weren’t allowed to have one in the waiting area only drinks were allowed. however , we literally saw a group of six people being served the guacamole with chips in the waiting area. We didn’t say anything and a few minutes later another party of two asked for an appie and again they were denied. Not sure what was going on with that. I understand that the restaurant cannot control how long people stay and their tables. It was just a bit frustrating seeing people get seated before us. After waiting an hour you think you will be seated at any time so you wait some more. Other then that, you everything was good. Our waitress was amazing and so was the food.

They take care of every detail, really good food. As a Mexican I can tell this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the GTA.

Services, atmosphere and drinks are great, but the food is not. Guacamole was tasty. The shrimp cocktail was too salty. The green ceviche is awful in terms of texture and taste. Pork and beef tongue tacos are fine. The birria tacos is overrated, again too salty and taste basic.

I ordered a carnitas taco, tortilla was cold, the waiter kindly reheated it. This taco had more fat than meat. Then I ordered a lengua taco, same thing, tortilla was cold, taste was good. In my opinion it’s very expensive for just one taco.

This was truly an incredible dinner… one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve dined at in the city. I loved their shrimp aguachile- super flavourful and just the right balance of spice. Their octopus tostada had an amazing base (not sure what it was but it was DELICIOUS).. their birria taco with consome (broth) was also super rich and delicious and lastly their pollo pibil was also amazing. For dessert their sorbet is also a must try - it’s an avocado based sorbet and super tart (not overly sweet at all). Thanks for the attentive and friendly service :)
