Downsview Park Merchants Market & Farmers Market Food Court • $
40 Carl Hall Rd, North York

“Went there for the produce and was pleasantly surprised by the prices. It’s definitely cheaper than grocery stores however the quality might not always be the best. Aside from produce you can find almost everything here - clothes, jewelry, car accessories/ parts, skin/ hair products, perfumes, furniture, wall art, suitcases, phone accessories, and the list goes on. There are also a few restaurants selling reasonably priced food. All in all it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be going back.
Side note: it’s cash only“

“I went to this place as it was close to my visits in the Grange park. I had noticed there was a window for McDonalds and that suited me perfectly because I’m in a wheelchair 28 hours a day. Unfortunately when I visited the window was closed. It was lunch time and there were many students in the vicinity. I decided to go into the village but found it difficult due to human traffic. When I did get inside the food court was packed solid and was extremely difficult to navigate as nobody wants to move. I eventually left even although my desire for a burger was overwhelming. I think that this location was probably fine I just arrived at the wrong time and the McDonslds window was closed at the wrong time.“

“Beautiful food hall with several options to try from Burgers to Pad Thai. Everything tasted were delicious. Try Aloette Go's chopped salad and cookie, Chef Joe Friday's burger and Chaiyo by Pai for their pad thai. Lots of seating styles which is also appreciated depending on who you're with. Service was impeccable even towards closing time when everyone must have been tired. Will return again.“

“I will start by thanking the head chef for managing this space everyday for such a high traffic and always serving fresh, twice a day! The place offers so many options for breakfast until 11am, lunch after and manages to close by 4 pm. They always provide fresh food, healthy options and salute to the chef for incorporating all kinds of food options for vegans, vegetarian and meat eaters. The salads and pasta are great. There are live counters for sandwiches, pasta, soup and more.

Food options label clearly of veg/ non- veg and vegan.

Two points of improvement- there is a great opportunity to experiment with an item or two for vegetarians. You can try studying and analysing the market demographics and offer a few items for the target audience. Advantage is: there are no nearby restaurants that offer good, healthy food - a food that people really want to eat and enjoy on a bad day at work.

Second - live counter for sandwiches uses same griddle for heating veg and non-veg options.

I love this and would recommend everyone.“
