It pains me to leave a one-star review. I have been going to their King location for years-- almost every Saturday for the prosciutto sandwich. But the last several months the quality of the sandwich has deteriorated. What used to be a sandwich with a substantial portion of prosciutto has not become an sandwich with a single thin layer of prosciutto that doesn't even cover the bun. I can't even taste the proscuitto. While their sandwiches are not inexpensive, I was always willing to pay because it was so delicious. Now I just feel ripped off.
Try this sandwich with mushrooms and cheese 10/10. The best what I tried in

A complete robbery. Who sells cookies by pounds? Picked up few amaretti cookies came up to little over $20. Before ordering I went up to a female worker to ask a question she then points her finger to someone behind the counter to ask him. Duh~ he wasn’t there hence my approach. Sorry for asking a question to someone who works there?!
And the cookies? I’ve had better.

People there this morning were so rude. first one if their staff refused to help us and second they forgot our orders. So rude, and racist as well.

I did my research of this Italian bakery before visiting Canada and my expectations was fully met and more, it took me awhile to find it...over 3 days...and I did on my last day, as I was navigating King Street, I kept telling myself it better be worth it...and it really was.
A nice Italian bakery/gourmet shop with nice wines, artisinal breads/pastries/sandwiches and a few retail items.
Everything is made and baked fresh...the chefs is right on the pass rolling and kneading right in your presence behind a glass window, while other staff in the deli area prepared your order.
Everything that passed my lips in this nice Italian deli was delicious and outstanding, I wanted to take more with me on my takeout as well, but couldn't as I would be heading to the airport in the evening.
But leave there and know I'll be back again!
The friendly service and welcoming ambience of the shop and staff was more than I could imagined...keep it up guys!
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, as there's a flight of stairs to descend.

Google prices are outdated. Most things are around 40-60% more expensive

I enjoy their cake and coffee
I used to really love the sandwiches here but I find they are putting less in them. They're still good, just not as good as they used to be. It's a little disappointing since I used to recommend them to everyone and now they're borderline worth their price
