I ordered takeout and was astonished by what I was given. The beef pot pie was deconstructed and had an absolutely disgusting piece of beef with two hard holes in it. I was extremely grossed out and disappointed. Lost my appetite completely by the quality of beef that was served. Additionally (not that I had an appetite after seeing the beef) but my chicken wrap was very soggy at the bottom :( Overall, an awful experience.

Came here for lunch with three of my work colleagues. We placed the order for appetizers and the meal at the same time right from the start.... Everybody knew what they wanted. It took 26 minutes for the food to arrive and it was the main course. When we asked the waitress about the appetizer she apologized and said she forgot. ? So we told her not to bring it out. My colleague said the ribs were average but I can tell you the steak that I ordered was horrible. I'm sure if I heat up a piece of a rubber sole off a sneaker it would taste better than this. I hate leaving negative reviews but this was absolutely the worst restaurant I've ever been to.

I recently dined at Fox and Fiddle in York Mills with a friend, and we had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, with a great selection of options that were all perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding – the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was spotless, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Went here tonight for dinner with the family and it was not a good experience. The food was bland and it all seemed very processed. I got the Cobb Salad and my husband got the chicken sandwich both were mediocre. We ordered an appetizer and drinks and our dirty plates, glasses and beer bottles were left on the table. Our server never came by and cleared them and they remained on the table throughout the entire time we were there. As we were leaving I noticed several dirty tables that had not been cleared even though the tables had been empty for quite sometime. Our server also never came by to check on how our meal was either. Overall it was not a good experience or meal which was very disappointing.

I absolutely love the patio at Fox Restaurant! It's the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine, especially on a nice day. The outdoor seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The food and drinks are usually great—I’ve had many enjoyable meals here, and the overall experience keeps me coming back.
However, on my last visit, I was a bit disappointed with the piña colada. It was quite watery, and instead of the refreshing pineapple flavor, it had an odd orange twist that didn’t quite hit the mark. I’ve always loved their piña coladas in the past, so I hope this was just a one-off issue. I’m hoping that next time the drink will return to its usual great quality because it’s one of my go-to favorites.

A nice restaurant with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff were friendly and the food was really good. They have a nice seasonal menu as well, I would definitely recommend getting something from that menu. As for the drinks, there was a wide variety of wines, beers and cocktails that are perfect with a meal.

1 - I was brought the wrong salad.
2 - Then the salad I actually did order, which I have had here many times before and know exactly what it is supposed to taste like, came with dressing that went BAD and was super sour (is supposed to be sweet/tart). To their credit, they took it off the bill because I did not eat it. Didn't order anything else at that point because the mood was soured, just like the dressing.
3 - The specials board outside said $15.99 pastas, but the waitress said $18.99 - decided to let that go because I was unsure if I saw the board right on my way in. Checked after the fact and yes, a very clear 5, not an 8. Don't know which was wrong but technically they have to bill the advertised price if it's lower.
4 - My husband ordered the seafood pasta which we were told was on special. I specifically asked if the seafood pasta was on special too because it's a couple bucks more expensive than the rest. I was told yes. It was billed at full price of $22.99. When we inquired about it, the waitress went to ask and came back saying that the seafood pasta was in fact not on special. When I said that I did ask her if it was before we ordered, she acknowledged the mistake and apologized but did not offer to reimburse the difference.
This was not my first frustrating dining expirience here. Lately, there has been problematic dishes coming out of the kitchen, like the same seafood pasta (different occassion) full of sand that crunched on your teeth at every bite. But this was the last straw - today Fox & Fiddle York Mills lost a regular customer.
