Saw a member of the waitstaff leave the bathroom without washing his hands. Will not be coming back just for that, disgusting.
Today my daughter asked me too go for lunch and meet her here. Well she ment Victoria and I ended up on collage. So I see on the menu famous club sandwich haven't had one in 20 years at least. Ok so I asked for it to be toasted lol the lettus was dirty and molding discusting. Waitress was a no show after 30 minutes I was very hungry or I would have left it there waitress ever came bye. Poor service the Mac and cheese was runny over all I will never step foot in this place again.
Tried the steK benedict. It was a decent portion and the price was not bad either.
Old school restaurant with basic breakfast menu.
Food is still as good as always, service is cheerful. Portions are still huge. All is good with Fran's. Keep it up.
Cute little diner with good food and service. Great to see places like this are still around.
Good place to have a good time with friends
Food: big portion. Quality-wise. Nothing special
Service: not much but charge a mandatory 18% tips even you have party of 1
Atmosphere: come for the historic old fashion
Excellent, food and service - thank you,
Attention to detail is required in the topic of hygiene and depth of cleaning. Focus on the washroom fabric, ventilation grills, etc.
It’s a beautiful place being let down.
Everything we tried was really good and the prices are very reasonable. It's not the fanciest food in the world but it's a diner. Everything was cooked perfectly and was of a great quality. I'll definitely be going back.
3 years later and I feel the same way. I'm a little sad they aren't 24h anymore as sometimes I wake up early and want a hearty breakfast but I can understand the rationale. 7am is still fairly early.
This establishment evokes the ambiance of a well-preserved, classic dining experience. While exhibiting its 85-year history, the restaurant maintains a clean and well-maintained environment. Their menu features traditional fare such as meatloaf and liver and onions. I sampled the ribs, which were satisfactory, although I prefer less sauce. The mashed potatoes, however, lacked sufficient heat. Pricing is competitive, and our server provided exceptional service; unfortunately, we did not obtain his name.

Always good food!
I have seen this restaurant for many years.I have just never been in it. This victoria long weekend , my friends and I finally went in and had lunch.
The place was pretty packed. We were seated to I suppose fast.
When the waiter finally came, I was starting to say what I would like to order and when I was in the middle of my sentence all of a sudden He ran off to a different table and left me hanging.
After about 3 or 5 minutes, he returned.
He did apologize and then finally took my order and my friends as well. He brought the cutlery , which was not really clean it had a lot of water stains.
When one of my friends was looking for a water refill , it took a while to get the waiter's attention.
The food was really good.I'll be honest.
I ordered the dessert, which was the seven layer chocolate cake.
I'm sorry to say that the cake was a little dry, and the icing tasted weird.
So the cake itself gets a zero.
When it comes to chocolate cake which I have at every restaurant that I visit if they have it on the menu Of course, I always expect it to be moist and delicious.Unfortunately that was not the case this time.
I will not be returning anytime soon to this establishment.
Fantastic first time experience at frans. Traditional and value for money. Eggcellent food (eggs over easy) and good traditional diner. The steak and eggs brilliant it was just a shame I was too full to finish. Defo come back again
Great food and service
Great place for brunch with friends! Like an old school diner however although prices keep going up on everything, it would be nice to not have to pay more and more for smaller portions
