Delicious fish and chips, friendly owner who used his interest in the Beatles to create a fun dining atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Tiny portions and the fries were soggy and greasy. 3 stars because the fish was cooked well.
Great food, great staff, I love their new Greek Salad and the chicken gumbo soup. If the gumbo isn’t available my next go to is the chowder.
Came for the gluten free fish and chips, according to my sister it was really good !
The “normal” fish and chips was delicious too ! Not to greasy, perfect quantity of batter
The staff is super friend and the food was good !

Fresco’s Fish & Chips at 201 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market is a beloved Toronto spot for classic fish and chips. Known for its light, crispy batter and fresh fish options like halibut, haddock, and cod, the restaurant offers generous portions served with tartar sauce and coleslaw. The fries are substantial and freshly cut. The Beatles-themed decor adds to the casual, welcoming atmosphere. With a menu that includes poutine, Po Boy sandwiches, and vegan options, Fresco’s caters to a variety of tastes. It’s a must-visit for fish and chips enthusiasts in Toronto.
Best fish and chips place this side of town.
Fish is fresh.
Came in on Good Friday and expecting the same quality as usual when we come in for lunch or dinner and it exceeded our expectations. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and I left the store feeling good.
My favourite fish and chips place in the city! Great tasting fish and crispy batter!
The Shrimp are out of this world.
Will come again. Nice UK pub style decor with posters of the Beatles everywhere.
Asked the cook to give me some hot sauce on top he filled it from bottom to top . Tried explaining him that some hot sauce means little hot sauce but he told this is less only. Suspect he did it on purpose I even asked him to try if he is able to eat this poutine but he refused . Asked for the manager’s number he said he cannot give. He was Eating food and preparing food at the same time. Totally unhygienic. Never going back to this place. Manager needs to keep a check definitely.

The fish and chips here are amazing.
We had halibut and fries, and one poutine.
The fries are delicious, the poutine gravy is exactly what you want from a poutine gravy, plus they use real cheese curds.
The halibut is delicious with a great flavour and perfectly battered.
Would definitely come back.

This place is perfect! We always have the best service and fish & chips when we come here!!
Fish always fresh. How can it not be , it's location in the market. The owner is proud to serve only the best and wants his British customers to know there is proper FnChips in Canada's heart
this is the biggest disappointment ever, i came here extremely hungry hoping to get some fresh, good quality, delicious fish. And i was disappointed. The fish quality was extremely poor. I will give them points for the chip batter not tasting stale, which happens often with chip battered things. But other than that the fish falls apart easily, and is not buttery like most haddock’s.
Their house tatar is extremely atrocious, it is beyond salty, so when you dip your fish in it, the saltiness from both the sauce and chips is beyond unfavourable. I nearly got hypertension from eating this. This is no where close to the quality that henry’s fish and chips in brampton offers. I will never let my hunger drive me away from eating henry’s ever again. The fact this store was capable of depleting my pockets of $20 CAD.
