Spent my birthday dinner at this four time Michelin Guide recommended restaurant.
I went for their 7-course tasting menu, and wow, what an experience! It was a blind tasting menu, so I don't have the names of every dish, but the lineup included an amuse-bouche, appetizers, a foie gras course, two mains, a cheese course, gelato (an extra treat), and dessert, of course.
Fun fact: the chef here has created over 500 gelato flavours and keeps rotating them! How cool is that? Honestly, it was the best gelato l've ever had in Toronto. The cappuccino flavour alone will live rent-free in my dreams for a while.
The food was incredible, the service impeccable, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful. Spacious, elegant, and perfect for a special occasion.
I'd love to come back here for a wine pairing experience next time coz they have a huge wine list as well!

I had the seven-course tasting menu with wine pairings. The meal and wine were amazing. I absolutely loved sitting next to the kitchen. I didn't touch my phone for the three hours we were there, and time flew by.

The 5 course tasting menu if enough food in my opinion. We did the wine pairing and the wines were excellent. The tasting menu is unique in that each of us had a different plate and wine.

The meals and ambience is what we went for and were disappointed by both. The interiors looked staple poorly coordinated grey wall. Combine that with a wedding party nextdoor ! Our server, although amicable seemed a bit off as soon we mentioned we will not do the tasting and go a la carte. We choose 3 vegetarian and 2 meat dishes and boy what a disappointment! Swishing across the plate and throwing flowers doesn't make a world class dish. The lack of flavours and several pinches or drops of jams didn't satisfy our palate. Weird mix of cuisines , such as lentils, Thai curry, tofu - only to be left with nothing memorable as flavours were lacking. In the end a whooping bill of $350 still left us craving for real food .
Thanks George! Pls remember we surrounded by world class fusion of culinary mix spread over different neighborhoods in Toronto.we expect more, our $350 would have gone a way more if we hopped around the town to have best of meals. Unfortunately we chose the hype !
We had a diverse group of: 1 vegan, 1 pescatarian, 1 vegetarian, 1 glucose free, and two with no restrictions. We had the blind tasting for lunch, and every one of us received a perfect unique three course lunch. Absolutely amazing food, beautifully presented, and perfectly served. Magical. Thanks for a very special afternoon.

We hosted our wedding lunch reception at George Restaurant, and it was absolutely perfect! Meghan, our coordinator, went above and beyond in every way.
We didn’t have a planner for the reception, so Meghan stepped in and helped us with everything — from creating the floor plan and coordinating with our vendors to setting up all the decorations herself. She even did all of our flower arrangements personally, and they turned out absolutely stunning!
Thanks to her, the entire day was completely stress-free, and we could just enjoy every moment. The food and wine at George were phenomenal — all of our guests kept telling us how much they loved it.
We’re so grateful to Meghan and the George team for making our wedding celebration so beautiful and memorable. Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for exceptional service, delicious food, and a truly elegant experience!
