Cocktails were good but service was definitely off. Server patronized our group unnecessarily. Wondering why there is only one server on for a busy Friday shift, probably contributed to poor experience.

Waited at the front of the line for 20 minutes after the host saw us enter. When they finally came out to see us they said that the waitlist is full and told us to “take a lap” and maybe try again later. Would have appreciated being told that when we first arrived rather than waiting in the barbershop for 20 minutes.

A bar that will kick you out if you pay the bill! We got kicked out of our bar seat because we paid early and after 5 min they want to kick us out! I try to talk to them and they would just argue with you! Especially the woman with short hair and the women bartender!!! I’ve never had a problem with the male bartender and he actually gives me free snacks once. Do not come here do not come here ! It will make you your worst day!

We went to this bar as a group and were told at the door that it was reservation only, so we left. A few minutes later, we called and were told it was walk-in only. The reason we called was because we already felt like we weren't welcomed
That contradiction is hard to ignore. As people of color, this experience felt uncomfortable and discriminatory.
If there is a real policy, it should be applied consistently to everyone. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience.

This is a cool, unique gem. It’s a barbershop by day and transforms into a cozy, quiet speakeasy at night. The atmosphere is fantastic for a late-night drink or two.

The cocktail menu is extensive and the service is great. The drinks are a bit on the smaller side, but the quality is high. Just a heads-up: they typically have a 90-minute seating limit since it’s a smaller space with a steady flow of people. It’s a great spot to hit for a focused, well-crafted cocktail. I would definitely go back.

Gift Shop was the perfect place to end the night. Super cozy, intimate atmosphere and a great vibe all around.

It came highly recommended by a couple bartenders on Ossington, and it definitely lived up to the hype. There was a bit of a wait, but huge shoutout to Shawn for the amazing hospitality — made it totally worth it.

Gift Shop was truly a magical experience. It was my first time visiting the location from out of town and I felt like I’ve been here all my life - the staff was extremely friendly and treated me so well. Staff and service was excellent and so genuine. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to friends and family.

A cozy, welcoming bar where refined cocktails and a relaxed, home-style vibe come together.

Had to wait for 20 mins and the staffs’ friends walked in, took our table and asked use to wait the other 15 mins. Unprofessional and it was a horrible experience for customers wasting time like that

Came here expecting a bar. Got a room full of bartenders with inflated egos and shockingly poor service. If the staff spent half as much time working as they do pretending they're above everyone, this place might actually be decent

Genuinely do not understand some of the bad reviews of this place.

The bartenders and servers here have been so great. The drinks are some of the more complex and tasty ones in the city. Always on my list of places to recommend to friends

We were really looking forward to trying this place, and clearly the server was looking forward to us leaving. A nearby table was speaking and laughing so loudly that we couldn’t hear each other at all. When we politely asked if she could gently remind them to lower the volume, we were told—very firmly—that nothing could be done, and that we should either finish our drinks and leave or just leave immediately. Our drinks were even taken away for us, which was… surprisingly efficient service, just not in the way anyone hopes for.

What made it especially memorable was the tone used toward us. Instead of being treated like guests, we were spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and strangely targeted. It was the first time we’ve ever felt this way at a bar, and hopefully the last.

We used to think the menu looked great, but after this experience, it’s hard to enjoy anything about it. I genuinely hope management sees this—since we certainly weren’t being seen as customers that night.

I wouldn’t hurry back, the tip is included on the bill but then when I was handed the card machine it had a tip option. Not realising I gave a tip on top of bill, which meant a 38% tip. Very cheeky of the business to even have the tip option on the card machine.

However I will say the English guy hosting was very friendly, the other lady a little abrupt.
