The Izakaya skewers tasted incredibly fresh. I normally don’t enjoy eating some of the chicken gizzards and other organs because the texture is typically chewy or not something that I’m accustomed to but I accidentally ate it and the skewers were tender and seasoned perfectly. Truly great yakitori. Well-seasoned, perfectly kissed by charcoal flame. I’ve eaten here three times and each time was perfect. Vibes are incredible. Potato salad, crispy cabbage, drinks, everything is great.

I went to Japan a few months ago and sought out yakitori because of the impression Gonzo left on me. Came back to Gonzo for a heat check and the place really holds up.

An izakaya should not be fancy. It should be cozy, it should be...

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, but the portions are small, so you’ll need to order several dishes. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is friendly. The beef tongue skewers are especially delicious🤍
