Staff are friendlier and food are prepared in an open kitchen. The ventilation is great and doesn’t feel smokey inside.

The vibe is close to Japanese local izakaya, but the price is a lot higher, with limited selection of sake.

The saba and ika somen stood out, while the fried oysters and uni baguette were the least worthwhile dishes.

Japanese cuisine that you want to try, this is the best restaurant. There are the varies of juices for the non-alcoholers. Definitely you can feel Japanese vibe. Two thumbs-up👍👍

We had an incredible meal at Gonzo Izakaya. No reservations but we were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar on a Friday night. We got the yakisoba, fried oysters, some pressed sushi and sashimi, and a variety of skewers. The food was phenomenal. The interior design was beautiful and had nostalgic retro elements too.
