Rolls are very big and filled with big pieces of fish and other ingredients. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sushi spot in the downtown core.

I tried Gorudoya Sushi for lunch. The lunch special I chose was a combination of salmon and avocado rolls with sushi. The fish was fresh with good flavor; I especially liked the tuna. They mix black rice with their sushi rice, which didn’t affect the taste and, I assume, is for aesthetic purposes. I found the rice lacked flavor and felt it was missing some of the acidity you typically taste. The miso soup was not good—the broth was very dark and had an unpleasant flavor that...
