We went for my birthday last night - a large group. The service was great, the food was amazing and my birthday dessert was such a special treat! Everyone needs to try the corn appetizer . We highly recommend

I was introduced to Gully by my friend Dwight the other day. He's raved about it previously and rightfully so! Everything was fantastic.
By far the biggest selection of Indian whiskies I've seen in the city, and then rest of the whisky collection is really well-curated. Chef Nalin is warm and charming, definitely knows his craft. Loved the wonderful cardamom-inflected smoked Old Fashioned and the pineapple Penicillin riff.
As impressive as the bar and drinks were, the food is the star of the show. I probably eat wings way too often, and the tandoori wings were the best-cooked wings I've had in the city in years, with a beautiful sauce. Loved the lamb chops, the corn tartlets, and the avocado chaat chips and dip for apps as well. And the curries! I've been dreaming since about the lamb shank and the shrimp coconut curries. Definitely will be back!

Omg! I did not expect this gastronomic feast. Each morsel was absolutely fantastic. We had booked it because it was near a theatre venue and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Nalin’s culinary passion was immediately evident. He helped us with ordering: Pani puri, avocado chaat dip n chips, truffle corn tartlets … with shaved truffle done at the table, gunpowder upma fries, lamb shank curry was to die for, as was his butter chicken. Add to that gorgeous basmati rice and naan and we cleared our plates. I ordered an old Delhi fashioned which he smoked at the table. The signature dessert was scrummy!! Service couldn’t have been better and the price, surprisingly low. He’s a trained Italian/French chef so those influences were apparent in his dishes. I got too overwhelmed with the food that I didn’t take many pictures. Bravo Nalin!! We’ll be back.

We had an absolutely incredible evening at Gully Restaurant on a very cold night, thanks to Nalin, the owner and private chef, whose hospitality and food made it truly unforgettable. One of our business friends invited us to spend the evening there with a group of friends, and from the moment we arrived, Nalin made us feel warmly welcomed.

Nalin was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and generous with his time and service. He truly spoiled us with an amazing selection of East Asian and Indian appetizers and main dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The appetizers included Truffle Masala Corn Tartlets, Smoked Tandoori Lamb Chops, Tandoori Chicken Wings, Avocado Chaat Dip with chips, and Kiwi Pineapple Pani Puri. Every bite was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.

The main dishes were outstanding: Old Delhi Butter Chicken, Malabar Shrimp Coconut Curry, Lamb Shank Curry, and Double Butter Dal Makhani served with perfectly cooked basmati rice. Everything was rich, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. To finish the meal, we enjoyed Gully’s Tres Leches dessert, which was the perfect ending to an already exceptional dining experience.

The food was outstanding, but what truly set the evening apart was Nalin’s passion, expertise, and exceptional service. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in delivering an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Gully Restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food, warm hospitality, and a memorable night out.

Great food and great service. We tried a mocktail with masala in it and it was so surprisingly good. As well as the guacamole with the Indian twist and the main dishes. Highly recommended. And they're open late which was great for us for an outing after putting the kids up sleep. The owner was so warm and down to earth too.

Four of us went for dinner and shared 8 appetizer plates plus a chicken roll and tres leches for dessert. The food was amazing, every plate was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about their large selection of Indian beers and spirits.
All of us would definitely go back!

I’ve been ordering from here while visiting Toronto, and damn, the food is SO GOOD! Especially enjoyed the aloo tikki burger, tres leches cake, dal makhani, butter paneer, crispy lachha parathas and soft roomali roti. The masala crinkle cut fries are also quite good. Keep up the great work, chefs!

We went to Gully for a birthday celebration with six of us attending, and we had the best evening with an engaging host who knew a lot about the whiskies and beers that are being created in India. I had a lovely cocktail made from another speciality liquor from the south of India. After our short education on these lovely beverages, we got help and great accommodation for our vegetarian and gluten-free people. Everything that we had, from veg momos to a beautiful lamb shank, was delicious, spiced to our tastes, and timed just right throughout the different courses. The birthday boy had a gorgeous piece of flourless chocolate cake to top off the evening. It was a super night out. We're going back, certainly!

Excellent take on elevated Indian street food. Fine ingredients, attention to detail and bold flavour combinations, offset by calming cream and citrus acid accents that we all loved! We were a party with a vegetarian and pescatarian which they accommodated very well, with a diverse menu of kiwi pineapple pani puri, aloo potato kathi roll, bengali fish curry, parantha, basmati rice, crispy okra fries, and a light tres leches with marscapone cream. Server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions. Overall a great experience.

We booked a table here with friends for New Year's Eve. We were seated immediately upon arrival. I was glad we did. It's a small place with limited seating that can fill up quickly. Service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, our server was the chef-owner, who took us by the hand through the special tasting menu (the regular menu was also available), and it was a bargain at $50 each. There were four courses, including an amuse-bouche, and each was better than the last. The first course was these astonishingly good truffle masala corn tartlets (the same for everyone). My appetizer was the Crispy Dahi Kebab (Hung yogurt kebab wrapped in kataifi pastry, parmesan yakhni sauce & cashews). I've had a lot of Indian food in my time, and this was close to one of the finest dishes I've ever eaten. Our group included omnis, vegetarians and meat-eaters, and everyone came away fully sated and belly-patting their way through a carb coma. The bar is well stocked, there are some unique cocktails (several presented dramatically under a bell jar filled with smoke), and the place boasts a fine selection of Indian and other whiskies. Let the host be your guide. He knows his stuff. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, if a tad noisy - lots of hard surfaces that bounce the sound around. If that's my only complaint, you know it was a top-notch experience.

Gully is my usual go to and I've ordered/been here many times. This is the first time they've dissapointed me. The Tres Leches Cake is all time favourite and safe to say it was far from my expectations. It had a garlicky taste and the cake wasn't soaked completely. Dry and savoury for some reason?
This was a DoorDash order. We had dined in some weeks ago and I didn’t face this issue.

Paneer burger was great in taste but it was so soggy with the excessive dressing that I had to eat it with a spoon instead. I hope gully gets its standards back. It's hard to see one of your favourites slipping away.

Look, the food was amazing, the portions aren’t great; but my main gripe is with the business practices at this establishment, particularly the hidden fees.

If I’m being fair, there isn’t anything special enough here to dissuade the average person who enjoys Indian food, but the hidden fees felt predatory for me so I’m leaving them a 1 star review.
