The experience was fantastic. Since we were new to the concept, we ordered a dinner for four combo and were absolutely protein maxed. The s'more at the end was just the right size dessert for the amount of food we ate. Would definitely recommend.

My go-to Japanese BBQ in Toronto, come here multiple times, always satisfied with the taste of foods, especially the home made marinated sauce. Try the BBQ calamari and matcha tiramisu for dessert! The staffs are super friendly and helpful. Enjoy the visit all the time.
We love this place! Food is great and the service is impeccable! We like the downtown Church location the best. Pretty inexpensive compared to other places without sacrificing quality!

I've been here a few times in the past 3 years. The staff is always friendly and quick to help with requests. The meat is marinated but a bit too sweet for my taste as I think I've gotten used to K BBQ over the years. If you don't like your meat seasoned on the sweeter side, maybe it's not for you. The meat quality is good, so I think not every item needs to be marinated like that. The other item I enjoyed was the garlic butter button mushrooms. They were nice. The s'mores at the end was fun, but felt like a cheap way out for the business. Overall, not sure if it's a place to go for special occasions.

The food was excellent! Highly recommend the basil chicken and the fried rice bibimbap was so so good. We had a bunch of the different beef dishes as well at my table and there were no complaints. The prices are reasonable especially with happy hour! Our service was very nice.

We were a big family group of 15 people and we had a wonderful time at Gyu-Kaku! The set meals were a great option; we didn’t have to think too much and we got plate after plate of phenomenal food, including beautifully marinated meats. The children in our group ordered from the kids menu and enjoyed their meals, and the older ones had a blast helping to cook the food. We topped the meal off with smores—a super fun treat. I was worried about the kids burning themselves, but the grills are set far enough into the tables that the little ones could be safely at a distance from the heat. Our server was attentive, patient with the kids and very helpful. Overall a great option for a family/group to go out for a special meal!

Usually for Korean or Japanese barbecue, I tend to go to AYCE establishments to get a better bang for my buck. But Gyu-Kaku’s BBQ sets come at a great value.
We got the set that was good for 6 people and it was filling for the 7 of us. The dishes came with a great variety, including great quality meat for grilling. S’mores, although not a great fan in general, made for a unique dessert experience compared to the usual ice cream fare at other similar restaurants.
Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. We had a fantastic dinner, would come back again!
