Really good fish and chips, the owner owns the Indian restaurant next door and they let us sit inside to avoid the rain. The fish was fried to such a nice crunch and the fries were great too. Great spot for a light lunch.
This chip shop is under new management. They are struggling. An order of Fish and Chips and onion rings wasn't quite an experience. The fish was cooked. Good tasted, wonderful The chips are just fine, but the batter on The Onion rings was awful. Rough tough and hard to eat like eating porcupine, quills., more care should be taken with the batter and frying the food. Today was very rough. Today, the batter was just an afterthought, and no real care was put into making it...
Was there on Saturday for lunch. I got the cod and it didn’t disappoint. The fish and the batter were flavorful and the fish was moist. The batter felt very light and not greasy. I usually take the halibut (which is always great) but this time I decided to go with the cod. It was a very nice compromise for quality/price. The fries were excellent. Although there is no table service, the staff was extremely friendly in our interactions.
I’ve been going for years...
