Delicious comfort food - borscht soup, pierogies and potato pancakes. Mental note to try schnitzel next time
Cozy vibes on a cold snowy day

Such a great place. The food was so good. The service was great, I felt like I was eating in a Polish household. They were generious on their potions too, we even got an extra perogie added to our plate. Will definitely be back here regularly!

Incredible food (perogies & red borscht are out of this world — we had to take more for takeout!) in a cozy, authentic atmosphere. Perfect for breakfast or lunch.

This is not a fast food restaurant! Every dish is prepared with love and is a work of art!

A cozy little place in lesilieville that I'm surprised I've missed. Its really cozy and coffee is delicious on a cold autumn day ❤️❤️💖💖 I hope to try their foods soon! But coffee is top notch!

Smashing IT! 😋

I love and adore this cute little diner style restaurant. It is so cute beyond words.

It has that old school vibe from the 70s and 80s with the diner stoles that we miss so much.

The owner and staff are so incredibly friendly hospitable.

And the food is absolutely OUT OF THIS WORD and incredibly DELICIOUS!

At Hastings Snack Bar they are serving up the best and the most authentic Polish comfort food in the city!

The Cabbage Rolls an A+++
The Pierogies an A+++

Nestled in the Leslieville area along trendy Queen Street East where all the cool people hang out you will stumble onto Hastings Snack Bar, but do not walk by as you do not want to deny your taste buds and hungry stomach to the most amazing food being served in the city!

It's authentic, it's fresh, it's delicious and you will want to continue to come back many many more times.

Great food and very reasonably priced. This was my second time here and I will definitely be back. As a Polish person, I’m particular about my pierogi and these are perfect.

Best polish food in Toronto! Amazing flavours and so hearty. Feels like a warm hug from a granny. Love that they have outside seating for the summer.

Went twice during our few days in Toronto. I think that alone is a great review! This place is the perfect spot for great, homemade food, and very friendly service. Prices were great (not just for Toronto!), and the atmosphere of a place that just does good things really well is becoming a lost art in the age of social media, hype etc. Spend a minute, eat here: get the dill pickle soup (if you're lucky enough to be there on a day when they have it on Special), and the housemade perogies. But really, everything we had was stellar. Pictured are the kielbasa sandwich, veggie soup, dill pickle soup and the bigos. Beer available (had a Helles 👍👍)
