Iqbal has increased prices, but giving a smaller quantity. I ordered the boneless chicken biryani $22, they gave it in a partitioned container, not flat. The amount could have fit in the smaller container. Good taste, but quantity lacking for the price charged.

I would like to give 0 rating for the customer service. The lady kept me waiting for more than 40 mins for a simple Puri, Sabji. I saw seeing that she was serving people who came and ordered later but kept on telling me 2 mins more. Ultimately when I told her to cancel the order because I was getting late, she refused to cancel. When I spoke with manager after this, he was extremely extremely rude as if the shop belongs to him and was trying to put the blame on me.
I will never recommend this place to anyone. Over priced and not that great quality food as well when we tried in the past!!

Changing my 5-star review to 1-star. They increased prices on some items by 50%. At the same time that they increased the price of naan, they made them smaller. The used to offer 10% off for cash payments, but the charged me tax on my order today because “the biryani special is today” - I didn’t buy any biryani.. this place has gone downhill in the last few months.

I visit the iqbal at the parkway forest drive site usually, and even after its late at night, the staff is very helpful and kind! Even today, Ishak helped us with the meat and was really helpful and now Iqbal is our go to place!

Went there on a weekend for only the halwa puri breakfast. Even though the restaurant was pretty clean as compared to other desi restaurants in Toronto with reasonable seating, the food was not quite up to the mark. The puris were super oily and soggy, channa and aloo was also not tasty at all, halwa wasn't that bad. It's just that place to go if you don't have any other options to easily go to. Otherwise i wouldn't recommend this place for those who seek good taste and quality of halwa puri.

Awful service: very rude and disrespectful staff. Charged me $80 for food and the staff refused to give a take out container and bag unless they extort 25 cents for each container. If I ordered take out they would have given me a container, but if you dine in, they want to take the rice in your hands and pockets. Have some class and respect for paying customers! NEVER RETURNING TO THIS CLASSLESS DUMP! The staff even say they need to charge because they don’t have a service fee - what service?? Signs on the wall say the place is self-service. Go somewhere else that respects customers and is clean! When asked to speak to the manager, the guy refused to escalate and call the manager - what a bunch of cowards. People deserve better at this price. Fine dining costs the same and you actually leave happy. I hope these people close down for such poor and disrespectful customer service!!! What restaurant in the entire city charges for take out containers?? So to steal 50 cents for 2 containers, you choose to lose customers that spend $80 for two people!

I recently visited Iqbal Kebab Restaurant and had a great experience. The food was delicious fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive, the staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be going back.
