What an incredible place specializing in all varieties of the freshest oysters.It was my first time having west coast oysters and I must say I greatly prefer them to the pei or Newfoundland oysters I usually have. Effingham beach were my personal favourite. These were huge oysters that were almost steak like in bite. Very satisfying and you really get a fresh aftertaste that reminded me of cucumbers. Fliptide was another great oyster that was very satisfying and briney. I was again surprised by how large and meatey these oysters were.The hot food here is not to be missed either. The prawn rolls were so good I ended up getting a second order of them. The butter brioche combined with their mixture of prawns + veges was mouthwatering good and was on par with the best lobster rolls I’ve had on the east coast. The Humboldt squid was also delicious and I loved the Asian inspiration behind the dish with the use of gai lan, lap cheong sausage, and the spicy sauce. Was surprised to see some stable Chinese ingredients being used in the dish.

Amazing food and amazing service! I've been in a couple times, and have been blown away each time. The seafood amazingly tastes like it was caught that day, and the dishes are a perfect combination between classic and innovative.The ambience of the restaurant also offers a warm escape from this city, making for a perfect dine-out experience. I would highly recommend!

This is our go to Oyster place in Toronto. Staff is always friendly and engaging. We follow them around to local breweries and other events. Always the freshest. Tonight we tried the Cod cakes, served hot and fresh with pickled onions & some amazing tartar sauce. Not to be missed.

The service here is top notch. I've ordered from here a dozen times over the last year or so and have never been disappointed. Island oysters has the best selection of east and west coast oysters. The owner Jason is a swell guy who is as nice as nice can be. They do a ton of events and pop ups and if you ever see them anywhere- try them out. You won't be disappointed! We came into the newly renovated place on a Wednesday when they coincidentally had a $2 oyster deal. It was a type of oyster we had not tried before so we ordered those. In total We got 4 dozen oysters of varying types. They were all perfectly shucked, fresh, and delicious. The staff were all friendly and the service was efficient. The restaurant has a great ambiance, laid back and comfortable. Super cute date place. We ordered the clam chowder, potatoes and the mackerel dip. Everything was fantastic. Full of flavour and perfectly prepared. Will return.

Quality all around - have been in twice now and both visits were excellent. The oysters are delicious, and so is the rest of the food. The scallops with bacon dashi were unbelievably good. Wine list is awesome value, with a good selection at very reasonable prices.Most importantly for me, the service is welcoming and friendly. I was with someone who hadn't eaten oysters before, and our server was very knowledgable and more than happy to explain the menu to us and make a recommendation. Awesome spot for date night or to catch up with friends. Will be back for sure.
