The quality of the food and the variety of flavors and influences was impressive. Unfortunately, the service seemed off insofar as we shared a soup, salad, and pasta entree and the soup was delivered first, quickly followed by the salad, and while we were just beginning the salad, they brought the pasta. For this level of restaurant, it would seem that the pacing and tempo would have been more refined and we'd have had more time to enjoy each course, perhaps with time between...
We thoroughly enjoyed the special tasting menu curated by chefs Cassese and Williams. The sauces accompanying the dishes were excellent and the use of unusual ingredients, especially the shaved matsutake mushroom served with the sausage and the wonderful flavours in the red prawn mixture were quite satisfying. The paired wines were all chosen well. Looking forward to enjoying more special tastings like this one.
Amazing experience from food to service to the live music and calm and relaxing atmosphere. Best bang for your buck at this level of experience and service. Highly recommend the 8 course tasting menu which ended up being more like 10-11 courses. Beautiful date spot.
