We used Kwento for our wedding cake and had an absolutely incredible experience. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and attentive to our needs. We wanted to go for a pretty classic piped cake with some pretty and colourful accents and MY GOD it turned our absolutely GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments on it and many people ended up going back for seconds because both flavours were so delicious! The tasting box experience was also so fun, I'd honestly recommend it even if you're not getting married as a cute and fun way to try all of Kwento's amazing flavours! We've also gone to Kwento for coffee & cupcakes before and loved that experience too, so just a big all around thumbs up from us!

One star is generous. When I walked in, there was no staff member at the front at all. No bell, no sign, nothing, I just stood there waiting until someone finally came out. When I ordered, I asked a simple question about whether something was included in the drink, and the staff member (an Asian woman with dark hair maybe mid 20s) replied in a rude, condescending tone that it was āobviouslyā included. Completely unnecessary attitude.
She then told me to go wait in a corner. While waiting, I was watching my drink being made, mainly because she had already restarted it more than once, and she snapped at me asking why I was staring (Iām not a creepy old man, I promise, Iām a young female student and was literally just watching the drink, not her). It was uncomfortable and uncalled for.
The drink was awful: it tasted like straight cocoa powder, and the marshmallow on the stick was burnt. Iāve also seen another review mentioning this same staff member, so this clearly isnāt a one-time issue. Rude service, uncomfortable experience, and badly made drinks. Not coming back.

I really donāt think there could have been a more perfect wedding cake than the one Kwento made for us. I wanted pink (check), I wanted Lambeth-style icing (check), and I absolutely needed that chocolate miso with yema cake (check check!)
We had the loveliest consulation call with Maria, whose excitement made ours even bigger. We really felt listened to and they delivered (figuratively and literally). Our guests kept saying that was the best cake theyāve ever hadā¦ and it was.
If you also get a chance to buy one of their tasting boxes, do it! I canāt stress it enough. It was the greatest.

We got a medium size cake that looked beautiful and tasted fine. I love the look of these cakes and was hoping for the taste to wow me, but it just didnāt. The icing was quite good but the cake itself was a little dry and pretty basic. At almost $70, I donāt think I would pick up a cake from here again - but I still think they are absolutely gorgeous.

We used Kwento for our wedding last year. They delivered a beautiful, classic-looking cake, which was exactly what we wanted. The Citrus Olive Oil flavour was amazing, so many guests complimented it! Overall, Kwento was amazing to work with, especially Maria!
