Best cafe in the hood — Love their vibes and staffs. Great desserts and coffees as well. Just found this hidden gem in midtown and it’s now a place that lifts my spirits, inspires me and reminds me of the beauty of small moments. I’m so grateful to have found such a nice place to chill and dine in!

Early Sunday morning, we went here for a quick breakfast to try. We first have a look of the breads and pastries, but the counter staff (guy) didn’t even greet us. When we’re ready to order, he’s so blank affect that it feels like that’s the first time seeing a customer. I even greeted him first and asked “good morning, how are you?” He just having a blank stare and not answering, it feels like he’s lacking of sleep or tired, I just didn’t mind it.
When I’m already saying my order, “ham & swiss croissant” which also written on the label, he asked ham&cheese, Again I answered “Ham & Swiss Croissant”, he again said ham & cheese and take a look of what I am saying that lowkey he’s telling me you’re wrong. Again, I didn’t mind it. When getting the orders, I said thank you very much! And again no response… like while eating, we’re just like is he okay? Why are we receiving this kind of service? It’s the first thing in the morning and we just want a nice little breakfast. This guy staff is really not nice, very cold treatment!

Ham & Cheese or Swiss Croissant is not good, bread is like 1day old already. Coffee is good.

I’ve been coming to Labohem Café since 2014, and even though the ownership has changed a few times over the years, it’s still one of my favorite spots. The space is open and calm, always clean, and the Wi-Fi is reliable. The staff are friendly, and the food and drinks never disappoint. It’s also in such a convenient location—easy to stop by whenever I’m in the area.

Walked in on a whim cos I saw some nice fresh pastries displayed in the front window, good strategy! So I got one to go. Came home (2 mins away literally) and sat down to eat but the Pain au Chocolat I got was far from fresh. My roommate is a baker so unfortunately/fortunately I’ve been spoilt by really fresh French Pastries and this was so I know what it’s supposed to be like. The top layer peeled off a bit like plastic and the rest was sort of soggy and deflated. Maybe it’s on me to have asked for ones from the fresh batch but I didn’t expect this. Lesson learnt!
To not end on a bad note, the flavours were decent, the staff and quiche were nice!

This place has gone downhill unfortunately in the last year or so. Prices have gone up and don’t match the quality or service. I had coffee and something to eat with a friend of mine who ordered something and realized there was an item she was allergic to as she was paying. They refused to exchange it for something else and she was forced to pay for it and could not eat it even though she hadn’t taken it back to the table and obviously hadn’t even tried it. There was no apology or effort to make things right. It seems like some of the servers don’t speak English all that well so there may be a level of misunderstanding but overall they seem unhappy and disengaged.

I've spent some lovely time with my friends there. I've had an iced mocha and a croissant, both were fresh and delicious. The patio was cozy. The staff were nice, and the atmosphere was awesome.

Cozy and welcoming with a beautifully designed patio that’s perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful — a great spot to enjoy a coffee, read a book, or catch up with a friend. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet escape in the city.

Delicious pastries and impeccable service. Well worth a visit!

Place and staff were nice, however the matcha I ordered only tasted like milk.

Update:
The La Bohème Café gave me the opportunity to try out their iced matcha tea on the house! This time it tasted way better than before, the matcha tasted way more prominent, and it was not as washed as before! Would definitely recommend!
