Update: The La Bohème Café gave me the opportunity to try out their iced matcha tea on the house! This time it tasted way better than before, the matcha tasted way more prominent, and it was not as washed as before! Would definitely recommend!

Nice location but the food quality and taste is not up to the mark. Prices are high for the product they are offering. I ordered chicken pesto, and the bread was so tough that It became almost impossible to finish.

I have always loved the pastries at La Boheme and came here often for coffee for a good time. My experience today morning was very disappointing, I came in with my laptop and chose a table in front. As I was sitting there, the girl (Ella) taking the order was rude and not welcoming at all. She asked me to sit in a different table and told me that I could hold the table for 2 hrs( not sure why that information was necessary). There are so many highly rated coffee shops in the yonge and eglinton area and I would not prefer to be treated like this after paying $7-8 for a coffee. Just wanted to provide feedback since it wasn’t pleasant at all.

The young teenager boy who works in this coffee shop was so reluctant to pick up other customers stuff from the table and clean the sofa and the table to make them ready for the next customer/s. We had to wait for a long time and ask him three times kindly come and clean the spot. First he came and picked up the cups etc and swiftly left while looked at us in a way why we expect him such thing. Then we surprisingly noticed he did not touch the table and simply ignored to clean the chair and sofa. I had to ask him again as I thought he might forgot to clean (He did not have customer at that moment.) While we decided to order he was keep ignoring till I asked the young lady at the end if she could clean the spot as there were very dirty and full of pastries crumbs. I noticed she said something to him and he came with a very reluctant behavior cleaned the spot. At the end he said he is not suppose to do such things. Good for the manager who hired him as he doesn't care and love his job at all.
The food was great. Unfortunately, the service was rude and surly. I will never go back. The managers should train their staff to be polite and attentive. The young woman at the counter was neither.

The coffee tastes good, it seems it is an Arabica one. Parasites and cakes are amazing, I got a cream brule, tastes like heaven!
