Great sandwiches and daily features. We had the coconut shrimp and chorizo empanada for appetizer. The pressed cubano and the short rib sandwich was fantastic!

Service was great, loved the empanada , the fries and the dip.

The honey glazed pork belly is obviously sweet so gets overpowering after few bites.

The pressed cubano sandwich was delicious but I only tasted the bacon, next time I would get it without bacon and I think I will enjoy it more.

Very delicious guava short rib at a slightly higher price point. Slow service and not too lively at certain times.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch which wasn't too busy. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, which resulted in extremely slow service. I ordered the guava short rib ($26).

The food was quite delicious. The meat was extremely tender, the fried plantains were on point, and the slaw complimented the beef very well. However, I just felt like the food wasn't made with any soul -- the kitchen was in plain view and the chefs seemed quite unenthused with their job.

Overall, if these were improved, I'd give a grand 5 stars for the meal.

WOW, saw La Cubana on the Food Network so we made the trip into Toronto on Sunday and we were not disappointed! Such a cool, authentic, old school Cuban dinner vibe, music, great cocktails and the food was AMAZING! The CUBAN MEDIANOCHE, Corn Frituras and Grilled Fish Sandwich were off the hook good! Great service too!

Cute hidden gem by high park, definitely recommend. I had the pork belly sandwich and fries, both were delicious. Definitely would go back and try some of their other food.

Such a lovely space, beautifully decorated with great music and service. The coffee here is no slouch, the cafe con leche was so smooth, definitely one of the best in town.

Tried the guava short rib medianoche. Super juicy, lovely homemade bun. Very messy but it's definitely worth trying. Service was fast and efficient

Also tried the yuca frita which was light but still fragrant and flavourful. Great side option

We spend 120$ for four sandwiches (two Cubanos, one veg sandwich and one kiddie grilled cheese) and two drinks (only one with alcohol) including tips. I know we live in a tough economy but that's daylight robbery to me. And quite frankly the Cubanos were just ok - sad to say but not a restaurant I would consider going back to.
