Brunch was perfection and service was attentive without being too disruptive. #1 French bistro in Toronto.
The escargot and drinks were phenomenal - beyond expectations. The tagliatelle was amazing and the steak frites were pretty good, but underwhelming as I hear it being the staple dish, but I thought their other dishes were better. It took a bit long to get to the table (30 min). We ordered a cheese platter and we loved it. Overall I would have given it a 4.5.
Lovely location with a great ambience and excellent service. Unfortunately, the food doesn't measure up. The hors d'oeuvres were fine (we had the beef tartare and red wine poached pears) but the main courses were very disappointing. The mussels were the smallest I've seen served in a restaurant - although the sauce was lovely, but we had to send the bone marrow back twice. Both times it was undercooked to the point of being pink and cold. It's unfathomable that a well-regarded restaurant would make a mistake like that twice. We were there for a 50th birthday celebration so preferred not to make a fuss and ruin the evening completely, but left very disappointed.
Delicious food. I had the bouillabaisse and it was great. We started with the pain au lait which was warm and delicious, and some olives which were also warm and great. Staff is professional and dressed well. Restaurant is cozy and has a nice vibe..perfect place to be on a cold night. In a sea of bad restaurants this classic French restaurant is a beacon of light. I highly recommend.
Had an absolutely wonderful time. Great service. Mussels in cream wine sauce terriric as was the frois gras pate. Poached pair on phylo and trout also very good. Thanks to all at Le Select who made our lunch a memorable occasion.
Great restaurant, amazing food, and real Bistro-style decor. Service was impeccable, will come back for sure, 100% recommendable.
very pleasant environment waiters were excellent, informative and at tentative food was excellent and well presented one of our favorite restaurants
Escape to Paris Le Select will remind you of a restaurant along the Seine. Great meal and attentive service
My partner and I dined here for lunch on Friday and it was our 3rd time there. The food was good (I had the chicken club and he had the burger), but the service left much to be desired. Our server forgot about us more than a few times, but the most disappointing part was because we were left waiting so long for the bill, we got a $65 parking ticket since we were late getting back to the car. I have written the restaurant to let them know.
The plat du jour (coq au vin) was deliciousssssss. Every time I come to le select it never disappoints!

Always great to be back to celebrate a milestone like a birthday or an anniversary. Like stepping into a Paris café but better. Food is outstanding, staff are professional and friendly and know their stuff.
We were a group of 7. Arrived late morning for Sunday brunch. Our table was comfortable. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. Highly recommend. I had the petit dejeuner. There was nothing small about it. Eggs and toast. Bacon and sausage. Hash browns. Delicious.
Never gets old. Disappointed the steak frites is now 10 oz, and the bavette's now a lunch-only option, but we compromised! Server Seb was great as was the sommelier whose name escapes.
Everything was perfect from start to end. The food, the service, the ambiance. I will become a regular, for sure.
We were a walk-in , even though there were many tables open, were turned away w/o a reservation, so made one, and reentered 15 min later. The food was mediocre, I make a better omelet and fried potatoes were not fresh or tasty , could have been frozen. Pain au lait delicious! Sat outside in the sun and enjoyed it.
