Went here for date night drinks and appetizers. The drinks were delicious and I loved how the cocktails had a story behind each one. We did order the mushroom kaarage. It was good but a little too salty.

The Library Bar is a tradition. When we stay at the Royal York this is our go to place. Michael our waiter with 30 years of service is exceptional in his job. He is never flustered accurate in his delivery of service a professional in his work. A gentleman. Thank you Michael. Ilda who greets customers at the door another exceptional employee. A good sense of humour professional, a diplomat. She is always very pleasant. The Royal York is fortunate to have in their employ two dedicated employees. Thank you Michael and Ilda.

I always enjoy the drinks and food at the Library Bar. The only variable is always the wait staff. Sometimes excellent and this time mediocre at best. A more consistent experience with wait staff would make it 5 stars.

So, the cocktails here are on a completely new level. I’m having trouble finding words to describe de depth, balance and complexity of the concoctions served at The Library. “The Poseidon” is not just a well made cocktail. It’s a transformative experience. Is there some type of sorcery involved in these cocktails? Don’t know, but I will be back for more.
