Always a stellar time here, but we just had a round of drinks with the bartender Colton and I can say without a doubt, we had not only delicious drinks, but excellent conversation. A truly memorable experience. Okay back to being parents.

Service was great - really personable. Ambiance was nice for a date night - tables were spaced out enough that you could have your own conversation. Unfortunately, the food was lacklustre. Everything was tasty, but nothing was particularly special. We got the short rib, Brussels sprouts, rice (a little spicy), fried chicken, and I got a sangria drink (sweet, strong coconut taste). Not a bad spot, but definitely not worth a repeat visit.

I don't have much to say beyond great food, drinks and service! I came in with high expectations as a Dutch-Indonesian and I was very impressed and left happy ?

Food is great, their sate ayam is my favorite! However, if you're Indonesian and looking for an authentic experience, I don't recommend coming here - servers don't know much about the all-indonesian menu items, they're more familiar with the English

Little Sister and its little speakeasy, XXX, are fantastic. Always such great hospitality - from service to food to drinks, it’s a staple for a reason. I’ve taken many people there over the years - and haven’t had a single person not enjoy their experience. I’ve even made some life long friends while having cocktails downstairs.

I had such a fun time at XXX. I always visit little sister but this was my first time getting a seat at XXX and it was such a fun experience. They have some funny rules, but I think it adds some cool quirks and mystery to the small bar and space. The drinks here are solid. No glitz and glam, because they purely focus on elegance and flavour. If you’re getting anything, that drink that is inspired off kimchi is my favourite, but you can’t go wrong really! We were looking for a fun and unique dining experience before the theatre and lucked out finding Little Sister. Our server was knowledgeable, sweet and enthusiastic which set the stage for our experience and the vibe was perfect, even though we were there early for dinner. We stated with the Indo Citrus Sangria, yum! Then shared the chicken and shrimp satay skewers, spiced beef croquettes, glazed chicken and the charred green bean salad and Indonesian fried rice. Everything was well prepared and very flavourful. I’m obsessed with the green bean salad and rice and am still thinking about those dishes a week later and can’t wait to go back. This place is vibey and the food is yummy. Definitely give it a try. I think it would be extra fun with a group and they have a speak easy in the basement if you want to make a night of it.

Service :5/5Let me start my saying, this place has one theBest service of any restaurant I’ve been to!We were received by Robin when we got there and despite of not having a reservation we were accommodated within 15 minutes. Mind you the place was packed but Robin personally came to get us when we were waiting outside and was an absolute gem! Our server was also very sweet although I forgot to get her name.He recommended 2 cocktails that were amazing! We got the Kitimani Rum Punch which was as an amazing amalgamation of different kinds of rum with a slight coconuty after taste, felt like I was in. Hawaii sipping cocktails on the beach. And we got the It's All Gone Peach Tong and let me tell you Iv never liked Gin so much in my life ! It was melon gin and it tasted nothing like alcohol, the cucumber and gin were so refreshing, it felt like a day at the spaFood:4.7/5We had the Braised Beef short rib which was braised in Java spice and omg ! The beef was so tender and required absolute no effort. It literally melted in my mouth and the Java spice had bit of a kick to it which I loved ! The fried rice was not my favourite, it was a bit too sweet for my tasteBut the lamb skewers were amazing ! I loved the spice and flavour. I loved how nicely charred it was and that buttery sauce on top was complimenting it so well! The chicken skewers were so tender and charred so well and the creamy peanut sauce with a hint of spice was nothing less than an explosion. This place has a rotating menu and it keeps changing so will deff be back to try more on the menu!

Little Sister Dutch Indonesian Food Bar is a hidden gem with a creative menu that blends Dutch and Indonesian flavors. Downstairs, XXX speakeasy offers a cool vibe and more inventive cocktails. The cocktails are a highlight, with unique options that I've never heard of like a Banchan-inspired drink and one that tastes like Hawaiian pizza. It's a must-visit for a fun night out with great food and drinks!

The general manager whose name I believe is Robin is the most incompetent "manager" I've ever experienced. He is incredibly unprofessional and has said extremely derogatory things to his own staff. The food has gone down hill and so has the customer service. If the speakeasy in the lower portion was even functioning anymore then I'd say this place would be worth a visit but as of now it's sadly a massive disappointment. Go elsewhere.

if you get one thing, it HAS to be the brussel sprouts it's absolutely the best brussels sprouts i've had! the unfortunate thing would be the portion sizes for the price. good for the atmosphere but the food value wasn't quite there for me.

Little Sister is undoubtedly a hidden gem nestled in the heart of King St. West. Situated discreetly on Portland Street, this quaint restaurant and bar exceed expectations with its delectable Indonesian cuisine and exceptional cocktails. My experience was truly delightful – particularly noteworthy was the impeccable service provided by Chris, our bartender, who ensured we felt well taken care of in the intimate speakeasy bar known as Bar XXX located in their basement. I highly recommend exploring this hidden gem post-dinner; you won't be disappointed. The cocktails were nothing short of extraordinary; we treated ourselves to their original creations, each one a testament to the skill and creativity of the mixologists. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!
