Finally lively AYCE hotpot with wagyu.

Liuyishou is a popular outfit for traditional hotpot, and here in the GTA they have long moved to AYCE format. This Scarborough location has been around for a long time as seen by the dated interior. Nonetheless it’s still popular with some good promos to compete among the huge swath of Asian restaurants in this plaza. First time trying hot pot and this was definitely the place to try it. Very friendly and attentive staff who guided us through the ordering process perfectly. The food was delicious!! I had the signature broth with medium spice level, it was beautifully spicy and flavourful. Definitely get the shrimp!! Literally the softest shelled shrimp ive ever had. The price was totally worth it, even on a weekend. Will totally be recommending this place to anyone who wants good hot pot :)

If you’re a broth-first person, Happy Lamb delivers. The Mongolian-style soups are the star: deeply savory, not oily, and they don’t get watery halfway through. Lamb is tender and fresh, and the AYCE menu covers all the basics without skimping on quality. Sauce station is clean and loaded, and staff refill your broth without you having to ask.
