Mandy's - The Well

Absolutely terrible experience at Mandy’s at the Well. The salad was bland and tasteless, and they charged me extra for protein they didn’t even bother to add. We were a group, and every single one of us was served the same awful, overpriced salad. I had fond memories of the Ossington location, but this was a nightmare. $30 for something I wouldn’t feed to my worst enemy. Never coming back.

Went there unintentionally just to get some quick snack while waiting for friends. The atmosphere was like you are so where in France. I grabbed salad and a coffee and my partner enjoyed tasty cappuccino. Great balanced dressing not overpowering the taste of the fresh greens and sesame seeds. Service itself was great, since they recognized I was a first-time visitor, the ambassador had helped me to make a choice. To my surprise the prices were “balanced” as well. Great place in the heart of Toronto! Recommend it.

I’m hesitant to post this review as I strongly hope I’m wrong. But my husband and I visited Mandy’s for the first time and took the food out to go. After eating half I found a coarse, pubic-like hair in the food. By now I’m about to throw up thinking of if I consumed any more. I immediately threw it out and tried messaging customer service 5 times but my messages would not go through. We don’t live near Toronto so there was no point contacting the store as they would likely only ask we make the trip back for a replacement or refund. In total, we spent $70~ including tips to make matters worse! Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because of the beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and decent (but overpriced imo) food/smoothies. Overall a good restaurant, all other things considered, but this mishap is significant and unacceptable!

Purchased $100 worth of gift cards from Costco as a gift. Employee went to use them and they wouldn’t accept them. Said their system wasn’t working properly, wasted our time and had no interest in providing a good customer experience. Would love to try the food but they are clearly not interested in service.

Great vibes and views. Got seats at their outdoor patio. Food was prepared to order and brought over to your seats. Very accommodating and I'm able to customize my food order.

First time here and we won't be returning. We ordered 2 salads for takeout and it cost $55. Very expensive for 2 salads and when we arrived home and opened the salad, one was missing the chicken that the order taker even convinced us to have on the salad. That particular salad was also half full compared to the second salad we ordered. It's shocking how expensive this was for what you get. Other than the food, the actual space was beautiful (very Instagrammable). It was tight for both seating and waiting, but looked pretty. Service was fine, everyone we interacted with was nice enough and seemed in good moods. There are just so many great places to eat in this neighbourhood & for the cost, we wouldn't recommend this as an option.

UPDATE: Emailed Mandy's 2 weeks ago, as they asked in their response to this review. Never heard back. ?

Overall good! Though it gets busy and they say they have a policy about ordering before sitting, but they don’t enforce it ? So just be careful, if you follow their direction and wait to order before sitting down, an table can get snatched up!

Salads are tasty, but very overpriced for the amount of meat you get. I paid an extra $6 for grilled chicken and it appears they just added a little scoop of diced pieces.

I ordered the shrimptastic through online, the shrimp was so cold and hard like a rock, and they forgot peanut pineapple crunch and cucumber. Especially, the shrimp tasted as if they overcooked the shrimp and stored it in the fridge for a long time and just threw it in my order. It was that cold and hard. I didn't eat a single piece after one bite.
Initially, I was so excited to order this online this time because I have had such a good experience when I had the same at the shop but can't believe how the quality can be this different. So disappointed.
