Mary Be Kitchen Reviews
Went to MBK for brunch with a friend. No tables available. So we decided to wait. We were told it's first come first served. But none of the staff help direct guests or provide numbers to ensure there's order in getting seated. We saw one table with 3 kids working their laptops- all they had at the table was a bottle of water while guests continued to wait for a table. Even diners are better organized! Delicious every time! The seasonal menu is always a delight for the senses. I live two provinces away and we happened upon this gem of a place a couple of years ago. Yesterday, I had a layover in Toronto of around 12 hours. Took a terminal train, the up train, the subway and my feet all the way from Winnipeg to dine here. Scrumptious. Healthy. Leaves you feeling full without guilt! Two thumbs way up!
Lovely place, excellent service and delicious food.

Mary Be Kitchen offers fresh and tasty meals with a variety of protein and sides to choose from. Popular choices include chicken breast with sesame noodles and kale Caesar salad, grilled avocado with steak and roasted sweet potatoes, and chicken quinoa stew. The restaurant is pricier, with meals and a drink costing around $25. While the ingredients are always fresh and high quality, the portions, especially the protein, could be more generous. The mac & cheese serving size has been criticized for being too small. Customers have noted that the service can be improved, and they have experienced issues with sticky tables. Many find the food delicious, with some praising dishes like the green curry chicken stew, daal, and baked goods such as scones and cinnamon rolls, though some baked items can be a bit salty. The sound during peak times can be loud and echoey due to the restaurant's acoustics, which may affect those sensitive to noise. The space includes a seating area for people working alone on their laptops. Overall, Mary Be Kitchen remains a popular spot for tasty, healthy meals in the area.
