This review is long overdue. I have been eating at this restaurant regularly ever since I discovered it a few years ago (moved from another province). The food quality is always consistent, eg food comes hot, the salad is always crispy, fresh, and the service is always attentive and warm, especially Stephen who always greets me with recognition upon entry and is just all around a great guy). Try their Greek fries, only they can make it melt in your mouth!

Food:3.5. Service: 4.5. Atmosphere:4. Food came in great portion and staff was friendly. Chicken souvlaki was our favorite, tender and marinated well. Lamb and beef gyro was a bit disappointing, felt like meat served in the same plate were not cooked evenly. Some over cooked and some not cooked well enough. Greek salad was in a big portion as well.

Great place to eat, l find the price's very fair, and 2 people can eat well under $50. Now that's a deal. 2 chicken wraps salad and fries. Trust me, the wraps are pretty healthy.

The food was great overall, but the roasted potatoes were a letdown. They had a strange taste, almost like gasoline, possibly from being roasted on a grill with residue from something else.
Amazing food and respectful service at Messinis! This is now my favorite Greek Restaurant! Visited this restaurant during the early hours on a weekday and experienced no hassle or wait times.
Service was quick and easy, servers were attentive and helpful, and the food was delicious! We ordered a 2 meal combo special containing 2 entrees and 1 side, and the portions were massive!
The chicken gyro was delicious as well as the potatoes, which can be upgraded into greek fries. Overall amazing experience, will be back!

We're regular visitors to the Danforth and this evening we chose Messini. We haven't been for a while and it seems like the quality wasn't as good as before. The servers were friendly and happy to remake our order. It was later in the evening so I felt like they paid less attention to details.

The staff and service were excellent, and the dishes were very generous. We loved the roasted potatoes and the salad. However, the main disappointment was the meat. We double-checked with the staff, and it seems that a burnt, chewy gyro is considered normal here. We initially thought it was a mistake, but it appears that this is the standard quality of the meat – burnt and chewy.

I love how big their portions are. It is a rare thing to find these days. and everything we order was really delicious. Including side potato, caciki and the bread. Their main chicken plate comes with a big salad which is a great bonus. I really don't get when most of the other places or chain restaurants charge you ridiculous prices for an okay taste and small portions. Yet, this one has a side potato for only 5 bucks! or a salad that comes with the main dish could easily be a full dish on other places. I was quite surprised. It is not common for me to not finishing my plate but yesterday was one of rare days, even though the food was super tasty. I really appreciate this restaurant.
