Great food and prices, but somewhat slow service. If you're there to enjoy the company you're with and not in a rush it's perfect :)

We dined and enjoyed as family. Staffs were courteous, professional, and very pleasant. Decor and atmosphere were within theme. Dining areas were plentiful and clean. No wait times and were directed to our window table. We ordered several dishes from the menu. We got Pork / chicken skewers that come with choice of salads & potatoes. Food arrived quick. We selected greek salad. It had generous amount of feta cheese. Potato fries are ordered with feta cheese or plain. Skewers arrived after. All are in great portions, delicious, very filling, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Staffs checks frequently for anything needed. In the end, we were provided with sturdy take-out containers and paper bags. Overall service, meals, and experience were beyond expectation. We will definitely return again.

Messini used to be a great casual spot. It's still a decent place - the food is okay, service is good, and ambience is all right for casual dining in - but it's fallen off from where it once was. As a patron for over 13 years, I say this with more sadness than displeasure.

I used to love their Greek fries and gyros. I used to drive 30 minutes on a whim to have them. I used to pick them up and rush back home, making it in 20/25 minutes so they'd still be a bit warm when I shared them with family and friends. I used to wait in line when it spilled out the door and onto the cold-but-charming winter Danforth.

Once the Greek fries were a lovely balance of warm, crispy yet soft fries covered in Feta with a hit of oregano and olive oil, broiled so the Feta just began to brown. Now, you get lukewarm fries that are more dry than crispy, covered with Feta that's somehow similarly dry. A tiny blob of oil with oregano adorns the middle of the heaping portion (at least it's still a good portion) that was put in the broiler for such short a time that it is seemingly out of obligation, not to brown or crisp. The gyros that were once moist and flavourful are now dried, almost jerky-like pieces of meat placed in a sloppily assembled pita, with either too much or not enough tzatziki. Like the fries, the gyros are still a good size, but I suppose that's the point of this review - the ONLY thing that's been maintained over the years is the quantity, while the quality has declined and the prices have essentially doubled.

Also, the washrooms are pretty gross. I would just avoid if possible.

Very good mixed lamb and beef gyro experience in Greektown. Don't worry about the fries, they are in the wrap. Well worth the money.

Amazing Greek food and great value for Toronto. We had Greek fries, salads, gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and rice—everything was fresh, flavorful, and came fast. Generous portions, friendly service, and lots of vegetarian options. Highly recommend.

I went into Messini’s for the first time in 10 years. It’s the same as when I was there last. Friendly, quick service. Good food. If I am being critical I would note the gyro was slightly dry and the price is on the premium side. Overall, it’s good and I’ll be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Price is a bit on the higher end, but the proportions completely justify it. Atmosphere is cozy and staff are attentive and friendly
