Midnight Arcade in Kensington absolutely smashes for a nights out with friends . Think neon lights, retro-gaming benches, and a dance floor tucked up on the second level where things start to pop off every weekend
The vibe? A mix of arcade nostalgia and club energy. You’ll walk in, play a few vintage games, grab a drink, then find yourself in the middle of a dance floor with DJs spinning R&B/EDM/hip-hop depending on the night.
can’t wait to visit again

Midnight Arcade in Kensington Market is an absolute vibe. The décor is a nostalgic, artful blast of arcade nostalgia—neon lights, retro games, and cozy nooks. The staff are attentive and friendly, keeping the energy high all night. Drinks are creative and reasonably priced, with great happy hour deals and a killer cocktail menu. Plus, all the arcade games are free to play, making it a fun and affordable night out.”

What Makes it Special
• Stylish & Nostalgic Decor
You’ll step into a retro-inspired space decked out with neon hues, arcade cabinets (including those beloved Initial D racing games), and intimate seating areas that feel both chill and vibrant.
• Games Included—No Extra Cost
One of Midnight Arcade’s biggest draws? All arcade games are free to play, creating a playful, inclusive vibe.
• Drinks & Food That Impress
Signature cocktails like ‘Breath of the Wild’ and ‘Spicy Peach’ are crowd-pleasers, while food items like jalapeño poppers, tofu, and creative Detroit-style pizzas are both tasty and affordable—especially with 50% off pizzas during happy hour (6 – 9 pm daily)!
• Friendly & Fun Service
The staff are consistently called out for creating welcoming, memorable experiences—special mention to bartenders like Cal, whose service gets repeat praise.
• Ambiance That Caters to All
Whether you’re there for a casual date, hanging out with a group, or celebrating a birthday, the energy adapts. DJ sets start around 10 pm on weekends, making the space perfect for dancing, lounging, or both.
• Value-Driven Specials
Cover charges are modest (around CAD 5–10), coat check fees minimal, and arcade access is free. Regular specials include soju bottles, rail shots, and discounted pizzas.

This place is a scam and charged me twice for a bill that wasn’t even mine. I gave them a $50 bill initially for my bill and they told me it was happy hour then they proceeded to give me a second bill for $100 without me explaining the bill and they kept bringing me a different bill every time. They pretty much tried to charge me for things I didn’t even order because the place was empty.

Extremely aggressive nightclub bouncer at the door. One of our friends forgot his ID, refused entry even though we all have grey in our beards.
There is another arcade bar nearby at Bloor and Bathurst, had a great time there, no one asked us for ID because we’re all old, in our 40’s, obviously well over the age of 19.
Really cute spot to eat and hang out with friends! The servers and bartenders were really friendly and the food was very reasonable priced and delicious. The only downside was that some of the games were really old and didn't work. Other than that, a great place for a fun night out with friends!

It’s a good place to hangout with a group. Arcade is fun and food is good. Service is slow - given the fact that the place gets packed but there’s only 2 servers most of the time, even on a Friday night. It’s very dimly lit at night, almost a dark place. Overall a good spot to eat and play at, wouldn’t recommend if you don’t like dark and poorly lit spaces.

My husband and I found this hidden gem a few months ago and it's so much fun! The djs are always amazing and the staff is super welcoming. We dance out butts off each time and make friends easily as the people it attracts are so friendly and fun. We have yet to try the food but we always hear how delicious it is! Thanks guys for being fabulous!

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Midnight Arcade, thanks to Brian! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome and hyped to be there. His energy is contagious, and you can tell he genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Whether it was helping us with the games, keeping the vibe going, or just being an all-around awesome host, Brian went above and beyond. If you’re heading to Midnight Arcade, hope you get Brian—he’ll take your night to the next level. 10/10!
